In short, I had a ton of fun with this game. It has it's problems but it was way better than I was expecting. Would def buy if you're looking for a game similar to DOOM to waste some time on.

Story:
The story leaves a bit to be desired. But I really wasn't expecting all that much from a game based around chasing bounties. Basically the entire questline is based around hunting down someone for a massive payout. There's a couple of twists here and there, but story def isn't a main selling point of this game.

Gameplay:
I honestly enjoyed this game more than DOOM: Eternal when it game to the gameplay. Ammo isn't anywhere near as scarce so I got to actually enjoy the weapons I like more. Combat is fast paced, it lets you grapple hook, double jump, wall run, dodge and move at fast asf speeds (There's a bunch of other abilities as well that you can unlock as you play). The combat areas are all pretty big and let you take advantage of the movement pretty well. Enemies didn't feel super obnoxious and sqongey (At least on normal). Also you get a doggo that rips people apart that'll appear after you play with a squeaky toy, so that's a plus.

Visuals/Music:
I'm not all that fussed normally when it comes to graphics so I thought the game looked pretty noice. Everything ran smoothly on ultra which is actually pretty rare for me (usually I have to bump things down to medium to get stable frames). The scale and style on things were pretty awesome. I'm not massively into Warhammer, but I've heard it's probably one of the best representations of the scale of things out there.

I enjoyed the music. There's some cyberpunk/wild west themes going on with heavy metal jamming while you're in combat sometimes. Nothing too outstanding but it was good.

Customisation:
The game lets you choose your own character model at the start of the game. Most of them look pretty cool, but the female voice felt pretty eh. On top of that you can choose a few colour schemes for your character and doggo that you can swap out between missions. Weapons have a whole attachment system alongside some skins (You can also rename your weapon if you grow attached to it). I've heard some Warhammer fans don't like it, but I honestly wish Darktide had a similar system.

Playing in AU, constantly getting put into US servers and getting 150+ ping. Maybe once in every 10 matches I'll actually get an AU server.

Hopefully it gets fixed. Until then would not recommend to anyone playing in Australia.

Grew up playing Mass Effect. Legendary Edition brings back so many memories.

Best times of my life were spent on that ship... been a damn good ride.
