Excellent finale for the souls series. Great level design brings an unparalleled sense of accomplishment when unlocking a shortcut or finding a bonfire.

Kudos especially for the Cathedral of the Deep map. The fact that the cleansing chapel bonfire is used solely for the exploration of the cathedral of the deep shows the valiant effort FromSoftware has put in, and each time a shortcut is present is when the player is running out of estus and almost lost in the labyrinth chapel.

In general, boss fight difficulty is much more tuned for a casual play through compare to Sekiro. Half of the bosses can be beaten within a few tries, and NPC summons are available for most of the bosses.

I personally have beaten abyss watcher, pontiff, yhorm, and champion gundyr first try, and the other bosses generally takes no more than 5 attempts. With less time invested to boss fights, I was able to focus more on the lores, which is a crucial part of story telling in DS3.

Favorite bosses are abyss watchers, twin prince, and nameless king. The intense atomsphere of the twin prince are brought to another level by the BGM and the mid-fight cutscene. I watched the CG of the twin prince boss fight for a million times on youtube before I made my way up the top of Lothric castle, yet when Lothric clinged on to the back of Lorian I could still feel the blood pumping through my veins.

In all, greatest experience so far from a soulsborne game. Good graphs, good musics, and reasonable difficulty makes DS3 the top choice for newcomers interested in DS series in my opinion.
