Havel didn't had a lord soul, he had a will of stone. But by will alone he became a monster. He have proven himself in the war against dragons as a mighty warrior. Even though he was not one of the knights of Gywn. He had seen the lord of light conquer dragons, he had watch him grow a civilization. He had faith in is leader Gwyn. He had fought for the gods and would continue to stand by them. But the traitor dragon Seath was doing horrible experiments in grand archives with fully approval of Gwyn.
Seath has kidnapped a women for his horrible experiments, that women was the love of Havel The Rock. If the gods could let a traitorous snake like Seath in to the Anor Londo to live among them to abduct their people and do nothing to stop his twisted experiments, it meant gods were corrupted. The lords and Anor Londo was corrupted, something needed to be fixed. Havel and his faithful men began plotting overthrow the gods. The power of the gods rests upon the agreements between them. Nito The First Death had agreed to hold safe the right of kindling, a power only provided to the gods. This was the power which lords had channeled the energy from humanity into themselves, it was the key to their rule. Steal it and the shackle on humanity could be removed or the power gained from their energy could be directed to form a new society. Havel and his men plotted to attack Nito and gain his soul but they unsucceed because of traitors and the ambush waited them in Nito's grave.
