Man, where do i start with this one? the game has potential to be fun and, get this, a *good* warhammer game considering how the only warhammer 40k game made in the last 2 decades is dawn of war 2, past that point its games so bad they where removed from steam and god dang mobile games, i have to say that at least rouge trader is actually good in comparison to the rest of GWs poopoo over the years, but as it stands, the game is incomplete and super buggy, im sure if you played the game you ran into the soft lock where its your guys turn forever and you cant progress, but there are also other game braking bugs ive ran into such as npcs making impossible actions and getting stuck in walls, if at any point someone dies on a ladder that ladder becomes unusable for the rest of the game, and the worst one i had was when i first fought Aurora and one of the tech priests also ran into a wall forever, becoming immortal and insuring i lost do to the time limit.

and thats just the game braking bugs ive found, there was a bug i ran into that just prevented me from looting anything and a few bugs involving cut scene where npcs would just pop into existence in a impotent scene

other than bugs there is a few choices made for the game that just feel lazy, the most noticeable is dialog and rather or not its voiced, its actually just random what dialog is and inst voiced at all, at first i thought it was just for impotent scenes but no, it just sometimes is voiced and sometimes not, i even ran into a situation where the first page of dialog was voiced but once i clicked continue, the fallowing multi paragraph mess of a speech wasn't. for some side characters i can understand but the whole game is like this. its weird and it feels like they just half backed the voices and and screw it

there is also the "history" moments the feel super lazy the first one i ran into was with the cultists and the lens the used to blind people, the history segments are actually illustrations on a book, with text that you pick from in the bottom corner, this is how little they care about side content, "just use a picture from the drafts and slap some options next to it, there side quests all done...no more effort needed, no need for anything else...nope"

overall the game feels lazy and put together real fast, is not a good rpg, not a good action game ether sense the UI make me want to rip my eyes out and feed them to the dark gods, honestly if you have no experience with rpgs like this you will have 0 idea what the hell is going on, for example, you have 4 action points and 4 moment points, this is neatly represented by 2 bars in the center of your screen, green for movement and yellow for action, on the left of your screen you have your combat actions and the right your extra options mainly skill unlocks, things like med kits and grenades are hidden in the ui and easy to forget because everything is in your face, also actions can include combat actions and combat actions can include normal actions, got that? no? exactly my point to top this whole rant about the UI off when selecting an ability or upgrade instead of seeing a value or even a reference like add 0.75% more damage, you insted see statistics like adds 2x(TGH+0.5xSTR) weaopn skill...WHY! WHY DO I HAVE TO DO THE MATH? why cant you just they use percentages...i mean heck they already do, medium armor simply adds a 0.75 dodge reduction so why BS me with stupid stat blocks?

anyway, the game needs major fixes and some major UI changes before i change my review...

wow, i don't normally care about fantasy war hammer as im a 40k fan, but holy #### is this a good game, its a bit on the expensive side but honestly its worth it to me...if you like war hammer and grand strategy games this is the game for you, unfortunately it has some flaws, like how some factions are just better off then others, for example some factions start with like 4-5 settlements and have pre-made allies, when other factions won't even have a settlement and die in the first turn half the time...also there's the huge paywall, as almost every other faction needs you to have the 1st and 2nd games and there DLC to use, each game is 60$ and all the dlc combined is about 250$ so all in all to access everything costs around 350$ the amount of cash needed to play the game is kinda unnecessary in my opinion, but still is a fun game and can be worth it at times.

with all that id give it a 8/10, it would be a 10 if the expense wasn't so high…hard to say its worth it when said worth is my left kidney, but not bad overall and one of the best war hammer games out there for sure

played the beta, played the full, and ive even played other games from the devs, all i can say is that its a good game, hard to find ppl online, and the story is short for 20$, but honestly this may be the best w40k orks game that exists, if they add more stuff to make online more lasting the game would be a definite 10/10, but the lack of replay-ability makes the game lack luster at times.

im still leaving a positive because the game-play is awesome, and i have hopes for the future of the game, but be aware of the problems the game seems to have before you buy it, because 20$ is a lot for a 3-4 hour game...

still with all that id say its a good game overall, twice so when compared to half the piss that is other warhammer games, its not perfect and has a lot of room to improve, but its not the worse game ive ever played, its even enjoyable, i did have fun playing this game! witch i cant say the same about 90% of games from warhammer.

lastly when compared to GGC and GGC2 there's a lot of things learned, i love the UI changes from GCC, miner things like how your ammo and health is over your head rather then on the corner of your screen, whale GGC2 had your health the ammo was still difficult to keep track off, not that that really matters, sense ammo in infinite in SBT, witch i dislike because it makes it easy to just spam the better weapons for the entirety of the game, along with this, i have noticed a visual decline from GGC2 and SBT, with the art of GGC2 being HD and having an almost 2.5D look to it by using art techniques, this is absent, and i understand that SBT is meant to be cartoony but so is GGC2...

overall, when compared to there old titles they have improved mechanical elements like UI and some game-play bits, but the art has seemingly suffered abit in return...

with all this i would give the game a 6.9-10, should you buy it? yes, but i would wait and keep an eye on how this game evolves if it will, and understand that if your only in it for the story your only gonna have like 3-4 hours of game-play...and that's on the hardest setting....

its a good game overall, the game play is simple yet fun, and each match will end differently for the other, but the game itself is still buggy, then there's the cheating, the anti cheat is a joke, and i've ran into a few speed demons already, aka people that move and and or complete tasks far faster then possible in game not that bhvr is exactly willing to do much atm. I would recommend waiting till the devs update there anti-cheat and or fix hit-box in-consistences, there will always be bugs, as well as cheaters, but this has a huge cheat problem and hit-boxes make no sense at times

however, when the game works, and the lobby you join isn't held hostage by some dude in his moms basement trying to look good, its a great game, if you chose to buy it, best get a version with your friends and play privet matches, otherwise after some time it just becomes cheater lobby after cheater lobby, and you wont have fun till they reset lvls again

Listen, I like this game, ark, conen, dayz, even atlas!

but the community in these games are the worst of any and all communities have seen in my life. official servers are unregulated messes, and all it take is one cheater to ruin your day, and they become a impossible mess that makes the only way you can really play the game is either with cheats of your own, or to join a lackluster unofficial server, full of crybabies that cant PVP for there life.

meny reviewers get this response so let me explain why your annoying before you even say it

"just do PVE lol XD get gud scrub" - a acucual comment i found for a rust review, it seems exaggerated and even comical but it was a real comment by some troll...

PVE is a even worse mess because these games are not PVE games, in rust the map is building spammed to kingdom come, ark is no different, and atlas has every island permanently taken 4 years ago, conen is the exception, but even that gets boring, and the only reason why its a exception is thanks to PVE-conflict which allows for some PVP on certain times.

Unofficial servers are normally less regulated as well, unless the server has an actual admin team there is little that the community can do if a hacker just joins their server.

and the norm for games like this is simple, who cares about polish? who cares about stability? Who cares about anti-pirecy? These games are lazy, unfinished, toxic, and unstable.
listen, i like this game, ark, conen, dayz, even atlas! but the community in these games are the worst of any and all communities have seen in my life, official servers are unregulated messes, and all it take is one cheater to ruin your day, and they become a impossible mess and the only way you can really play the game is either with cheats of your own, or to join a lackluster unofficial server, full of crybabies that cant PVP for there life.

again, rust and ark can be fun, there's even a great story behind the broken AIs, borderline cheated bases, and half baked PVP it's fun when you play on a server that isn't a toxic broken mess. and when the game don't crash while your outside so somebody kills you and camps you. or when someone uses aimbot, or when someone doesn't waste 30 hours of their life in a bush so they can snipe you, the list goes on.

PVE can't allow for progression unless you joined the server just as they wiped i mean Rust especially would be the best game ever if it had better security, better sync, was more optimized, and fixed methods of building that allows you to just clip through walls.
and i already know that the zealots of bad survival games are gonna try to dox me for this review, but the truth is that these games suck. To the zealots out there, why defend a game whose main servers are unplayable, you wonder why the game is dying yet new players can't ever get a start, i mean there are entire groups dedicated to trolling new players so they cant play the server.
Imagine the community being so bad, that the community kills the game it was made to support.

I know the grand majority of people agree with me. But that won't stop zealots for spamming me to oblivion

Trust me, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME or any game like it! you will waste your life for nothing. If you want a building survival experience, get minecraft, or subnautica. If you want a mass PVP experience, just get a battle royal game. at least you'll have more fun then a single Dopamine rush.

good dlc, and no you don't need to preorder hotline Miami 2, you just need like 14$ to by the digital special edition.

that will gave you jacket, and other related content. they changed it a while ago but you do still need the game to play as jacket, i just bought it haven't played it nor will i but i mean it is a crossover -,(o_o),- so idk you get a heist for like 4 bucks...
