This game is can be very fun at times but also very buggy at times. It is highly recommended that DLCs are installed. Mods also are recommended, they can really spice up gameplay (especially mods like Endsieg, Thousand Week Reich, Kaiserreich, and overhaul mods such as WW2 Rebalanced, World War Bruh, and Total War). The game most definitely has a learning curve and will take time to have a good grasp on its content/ mechanics. Some things that I don't like are how often the game tends to crash in the late game, and also how the late game (1942 and onwards) gets extremely slow, but this is a personally issue. This game is very CPU heavy, RAM, SSD and GPU do not matter much. FPS can get below 30 sometimes but it is not a deal breaker for me. All in all, it is a very fun game and is even better with the right people, specs, and mods. It is worth the buy.
