Normele aplicabile în prezent privind sacrificarea porcilor în scopul producerii cărnii pentru uz personal într-o fermă supusă restricțiilor, ordinelor sau interdicțiilor emise în legătură cu apariția PPA nu par a fi excesiv de împovărătoare pentru fermierii care dețin porci.
