Eternal has all the heart pounding, immensely satisfying, high speed, extremely bloody combat that Doom 2016 did. This game feels like a love letter to the history of FPS games. You can feel the passion of the developers to capture that retro feel come through, and they nailed it. Features like high movement speed, power ups, cheat codes, oodles of secrets to uncover, extra lives, and the removal of crouch and aiming down sights set Doom Eternal far apart from the other titles out there. The soundtrack contains some of the most amazing, gritty, metal tracks I've ever had the pleasure of hearing, and it compliments the combat perfectly. The music is never out of place, always on key, and never off beat.

The multiplayer is meh, but it can be a lot of fun if you can get a group of friends together to do a 1v2 with the homies. The real draw of this game is the campaign. I cannot praise the campaign enough. The story was just engaging enough to keep me interested, but didn't overstay it's welcome. The lore is there if you are interested in the codex.

Final conclusion: this game is an absolute must have for anybody who loves gaming like I do. It is a power trip unrivaled by any other game on the market, and the only one I've played that even comes close is the 2016 instalation of the series. If you want to feel like an unstopable badass, this is game is for you. Fight like hell slayer!

Pretty damn good game. Holds up 11 years after launch very, very well. The frantic management of where your guns are shooting, what your crew is doing, and how much damage you are taking is such addicting fun. Every kill of the final boss feels so rewarding and hard fought, and like you have truly overcame the odds and triumphed.

The different ships lending themselves to different play styles (for example, the mantis ship specializes on boarding the enemy and wreaking havoc while the engi cruiser encourages using drones) adds to the already immense replay value. While on the topic of replay value, it would be a crime to not mention the mods for this game. I have yet to dip my toes into FTL modding, but i've heard that there are some amazing mods out there.

As for negatives, much like many other games of the genera, this game is HARD and not for the faint of heart. Sometimes it will just decide that you lose or don't have a fair shot, but that's just part of what the Rougelike genera is. If you can handle that, there is A TON to love about FTL.

For fans of the Rougelike genera, this is an absolute must

Early Access Review
Honestly, I would go as far as to say that this is one of the best survival games on the market. Not tarkov levels of serious, but there's a fun learning curve. The game is shockingly in depth, highly challenging, and absolutely massive. It took me over 100 hours to learn the map, and I still lose my way every now and then. And trust me, when I say highly challenging, I mean it. This game does not want you to live, and you won't get any help. The game literally starts with "THIS IS HOW YOU DIED" The mods add a level of replayability that is unmatched. If you can look past the windows 98 looking hud and the isometric nature, there's a hell of a lot to love here.

An absolutely fantastic game. Do you ever get tired of games that lead you down one linear path or even have branching paths? Well, why not go out there and write your own story from the ground up? Rimworld allows you to do that in one of the most captivating ways i've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. And once you dip your toes into mods, there's no going back from the endless even more unique stories to tell

A successful colony isn't proof of your skill at management. it's a triumphant tale of people that overcame the odds. A ruined colony isn't a failure. It's a dramatic tragedy, and that's the magic of this game.
