Current favourite games

: War Thunder, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Witcher 3, TES3: Morrowind, Fallout 3 and FalloutNV, Train Simulator, Orbiter Space Flight Simulator, P3D. I don't always play through Steam. I like games you can mod and play around with.

Right now I am surprised at how devoid of imagination and vision current computer games are. Two decades ago, games like Quake II immersed us into a inspired, futuristic sci-fi world that had that elusive, magic quality: it was somehow greater than the sum of all its parts. The same can be said of games like Morrowind or even Oblivion.

Where are such games now? All we see are countless shooter games and zombie games with mundane settings, factorydesigned for the casual gamer. These games are not only an indication of the depraved era in which we live -- they are also mostly boring because they offer nothing new.
