luckily, I was being an idiot and forgot that I got by in the past when I did not have my wifi stick by using USB tethering. now I just need to hope that my parents do not find out

sadly, those will not work on my main PC due to the wifi being blocked on it, and my laptop has terrible connections. it's sad really :(
