Not one of but the best application to literally provide upto 3x stable FPS. Downloading FPS is indeed real.
I use x3 FG with performance mode and lock the in-game FPS to 40 because my monitor is 120hz. You would wanna keep the FPS locked in a way that the x multiplier would be lower than the monitor's refresh rate. Higher multiplier might lead to screen tearing and input lag so experiment around it a bit.
For the people with Nvidia Graphics card having issues regarding the *high input lag*, make sure you have "low latency" set to ultra from Nvidia control panel.
