I really want to post a good review about this game, but the in-game mechanics are completely ruining the experience. It’s buggy and inconsistent, making the in-game challenges intensely frustrating to complete. I'm playing with a controller and can't imagine how much more annoying it must be on keyboard and mouse. I'm really disappointed, especially since Just Cause 2 is one of my favorite games.

The setting is genuinely good, and the game runs well in terms of performance compared to the previous two titles. However, if you're buying this with high expectations based on Just Cause 2, you will be challenged. I think the destruction being amped up from No.2 is what really keeps this title afloat.

Multiple ways to play, the campaign doesn't drag like most titles. Completed a low chaos run and will definitely revisit to do the opposite. Incredible game !

Game runs crisp and looks incredible. Story is simple and easy to follow and some parts of the game are on par with Uncharted. The final section of the game feels like a slug to complete however the quality of game-play isn't affected by this. Fully recommend this title.

Definitely the best way to play a classic port on modern platforms if you don't want to mess around with installing old patches and downgrading on the original SA. This game still holds up today and is hard to find a negative comment for. Another title let down by a buggy release only maturing positively with time. (Don't pay full price for the bundle wait for sale !)

Loved the Story to this game, although short the campaign is a fun one to visit once in a while if your trying to kill time.

Only issues / glitches i ran into were related to buggy animations before cut-scenes.

Such a shame it had to compete with Battlefield and Cod.

Played through this game after buying from a hit of nostalgia from the 2012-2013 YouTube era.

Overall the game has a great concept, the atmosphere is eerie and depressing. You cant help but feel a sense of unease while playing.

For a game that came out in 2012, the amount of things you interact with during the play-through is very surprising and a big charm for the game.

However, the accessibility for the average player is very little. I found myself constantly haven't to search up where to go during missions as direction is minimal at most. Due to this, finishing the game really becomes a drag and you find yourself happy its over.

Although this game wont be updated, had it had more hints for someone playing for the first time, the experience and delivery of the game would have been exceptional.

I do think the game deserves recognition and hope the later instalments improve upon the poorer aspects of this title.

The only truly positive thing you can say about this game is that it was a major game-changer in the early 2000s, thanks to its 3D graphics and open-world design.

Aside from that, the game is: buggy beyond belief; features car controls that make you feel like you're driving a Reliant Robin; has a plane that can’t fly but a tank that somehow does; suffers from depressingly repetitive radio stations due to removed licenses; includes a gang system that essentially breaks the game once you progress far enough into the story; and, to top it all off, its main selling point—60fps playability—still runs poorly unless you cap it at 30fps (something a single modder fixed years ago for the original GTA 3).

None of the missions are memorable, and whoever decided to include so many timers clearly had some kind of bizarre fixation, especially in the final segment of the game, where nearly every mission is on the clock.

This is, by far, the one that sadly didn’t "get away" and probably deserved a proper rethink and remaster, rather than just a fresh coat of paint. It ultimately lets down the rest of the trilogy.

It troubles me to recommend this title—but if you don’t play it, you probably won’t appreciate the later releases in the series as much.
