Ruthless Conglomerate advisor my beloved

...

Oh yeah city planets and slaves and stuff are cool

Wait for a sale if you're thrifty and then buy this. Do it for him. Ruthless Conglomerate advisor loves you(r money).

I am not an expert reviewer, but I'll give this a shot.

This game is quite good. I'm told it's not as, shall we say, politically complex as some of Paradox's other titles, but if you want to jump in here and have fun in a good-looking space empire simulator, you've come to the right place. Not only is the game itself awesome, but it has a robust modding community as well, which Paradox has largely gone out of their way to be nice to — a refreshing contrast these days, I may say.

With all that being said, it is my humble yet honest recommendation that you wait for a sale to buy anything, even the base game. Paradox is good (read: smart) enough to run them every so often, usually 33%-75% off everything here. I can't tell you what to do, and if you're feeling generous there are worse ways to burn money, but if you're a cheapskate like me, it pays to be patient.

Overall: 10/10 slightly humorous WH40K jokes

Early Access Review
I'm no great hand at game reviews but for what my opinion's worth, this is a solid title. For an Early Access it already has a ton of content and 20 hours in, I haven't bumped into any noticeable bugs. Controls are clean and intuitive, boss fights feel entertaining and well-balanced, tech progression is nicely spaced-out, but doesn't stop you from jumping ahead if you're confident (and willing to suffer for your hubris haha).

I certainly wouldn't call it a huge challenge, but it what it promises and then some. I got it on sale, but even at the normal asking price it's no ripoff. I dislike the overused comparisons to certain other Sandbox games, but if you're interested in titles of that genre, you can certainly do a lot worse than Necesse, so I say give it a shot.
