They downgraded (almost) everything from the Alpha version, added more bugs and buffed every character including ones that were considered "OP" from the Alpha (Like Taz, Shaggy, T&J), broke crossplatform play for consoles so you can barely get past the menu without it giving you an error about crossplay, and, of course, added micro-transactions.

They downgraded the gold drop, and bp point drop to be little to none if you don't do challenges to get gold and bp points, exactly what Halo Infinite did, which wouldn't be too bad if each character (minus the base 5 that are unlocked by default) didn't cost 2,000 to 5,000 gold per character to unlock. (A Reddit post doing the math was shown that to unlock every character for free, it would take 16-25 days, playing 30 matches each day to unlock every character or 25,500 gold for the current 16 character roster.)
And for bp points, you are only getting about 5-10 per match without doing challenges (which you only get 6 a day or the 3, single time use seasonal challenges which require things like 150 assists, preform an attack 500 times and such) while it takes ~600 bp points to level up a single tier, and the "rested xp" bonus only gives you about 2 points anyways, so it isn't that big of a bonus. (But it isn't too bad at the moment because it is just 15 tiers and there is still exactly 2 weeks, 14 days, from the time I am writing this to get up those tiers. Currently I am tier 6 with 2.5 hours of gameplay.)

Hell, they made items that were base game for a character (like announcer voices, stickers, emotes being unlocked at character level 13, 14, and 15 for a specific character) paid cosmetics now.
They also made the paid currency an uneven amount (4.99 USD + tax for 450 instead of 500 like most normal games) so that you will be at an uneven amount, forcing you to spend more money overall, while not even giving you "bonus" amounts like games such a Apex or CoD do when you purchase an amount at 10$ or more (like Apex gives you 1,000 + 100 bonus if you buy a 9.99$ currency for a total of 1,100 meanwhile this game offers you only 1,000 and thats it for 9.99)

And that's not to bring up the Founder's Pack editions.

15 character tokens (which is currently 1 short of the current roster of 16 characters, and soon to be 4 short because 3 new characters got announced, bumping the roster to 19)

30 character tokens (which means once the roster goes above 30 you will need to buy the new characters with paid currency or gold, so you aren't even going to have every character for 100$)

Honestly, if Harley wasn't in this and satisfying to play I would've quit already. I don't know why they came out of Alpha Testing if the game is MORE broken now than it was before.
Unless, of course, they just wanted a reason to push out micro-transactions to get some cash.

TL;DR - The Alpha was more polished and didn't have micro-transactions.

(Also going to bring up how they said that the Alpha Taz [Alpha Tester Icon and backround] cosmetics would carry over from the Alpha, yet they don't, so the only time you could use them to show off that you played the Alpha was in the Alpha? Where everyone would have already knew this since they would've only saw it if they were in the Alpha too.

I'm also going to add on that when you contact support for help, they either 1. give you the same bot message telling you to use the support website and close the ticket, or 2. close the ticket of whatever issue you said on the support website, saying that it isn't an issue, is fixed, or not giving a reason.)
