also note that using custom models also means a bigger job for you, because you need to replace one of the main class models in order for the model to show up and animate itself with the walking animations, this should be relatively easy, by simply creating the qc using the model you've extracted, however i am unsure if it will even extract it to the way tf2 would recognize it, so that may need a bit confirming by searching hard on google

once it's done extracting the files contained within the .gma file will be in the bin folder, as it automatically extracts the .gma file in the same folder, so you should end up with a folder of you're addon's name containing lua folder and a models and materials folder, all of which you can do with as you please

so in response to what you have asked me, if you want to use an addon from gmod to place into tf2, this will be a bit daunting. but it is possible, you'll need to locate the addon you want to use they'll usually be a .gma file i think and then you'll want to have the file be opened by gmad.exe which is best done by dragging the .gma file on top of the gmad.exe in Garrysmod's bin folder, much like how tf2 has other files in it's bin folder gmod also has a bunch of helpful files too inside there.
