So, after 318 hours of playing this game I have finally decided to add a review on top of all the others. My initial reaction to this game ( before it was added to steam ) was promising, however early access meant limited features. But since it was added to steam, things have certainly changed for better and for worse.

The campaign may be a little rough around the edges and is far from perfect, however it does offer plenty and hours of gameplay, the most important thing to do is maintain balance / peace with other nations and build a decent fleet before even considering any form of action. Your economic growth is also your key to success, the more monthly funds you receive, the larger your fleet can be - or you can build more expensive ships without so much as effecting your balance.

My main gripes with the game, however, lies within the ship design.
I cannot understand the lengths and struggles it must take to make a functional model within the game, however recently it feels as if a dozen of hulls within the game are mere copy - pastes to save time. For example, I'll namely put British Dreadnought Hulls 3 - 6 to shame, as they are nothing more than copies of the Von Der Tann hull. It would be nice to have actual British Dreadnought Hull designs properly resembling HMS Neptune / Colossus, as well as the Orion / King George V ( 1911 ) classes respectively, just as they done with the Wyoming / New York hulls. Among that, many features such as ship towers, guns and smoke - stacks feel a little out of place depending on what nation they belong to.

All in all, I believe the game holds much potential in the future with how often the developers keep updating it, be it the weekly small fixes or the larger content additions. But for me, when it comes to the major updates, I would like to see the devs focusing on one nation at a time when it comes to adding the new hulls / ship towers etc. That way instead of cramming in loads of hulls that don't fit the nation they belong to, each nation remains unique with the designs they possessed during those specific periods.

At the moment, I would rate the game a 7.5/10.
The game is still young and there are many improvements to be made, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for it.

This game is very enjoyable and you easily get absorbed in playing the game, completing contracts becomes fairly easy once you get into the swing of it and the level of detail and effort is amazing; finding tanks, restoring them and putting them on display in a virtual world is definitely one way to keep the history of these vehicles alive.
