It aight.

For real though, addicting enough that it took over all of my free time for a period of two weeks. You can win with any playstyle or character, provided you git gud enough. And I was invested enough to get all achievements and a winning run on each character.

However, I wish there was a bit more ... substance to it. There isn't even an ending cutscene to let you know you're done with the game. I honestly don't think there's any lore. And I wish there was some content that you could do with the thousands of titanite you end up with after finishing all the challenges. Like, maybe a mode where you can mix and match a character's bonuses with another character's bonuses. Maybe alternate, harder levels like Celeste with the B sides or Skul: the Hero Slayer with the Dark Mirror Worlds that unlock once you've done each difficulty or even once you've done Calamity 5. Or a way to lock yourself from getting items on runs like in Neon Abyss where you could block 5 items while still being able to obtain the achievements.

Anyway, decent enough game where the rogue-like loop and varied classes come in clutch against the shallowness of the world and the inherent rage-building in any rogue-like where you have to begin again.

Bought this because of Dunkey's campaign, but I can already tell that I'm going to be in this for the long haul. It's like a mix of Rain World and Lone Fungus. It's shaping up to be a (relatively) laid-back puzzle platformer with some dangers to keep you on your toes. Will probably update with some more info after I complete the game.

You get unreasonably attached to colorful orbs and triangle-head flies. The aesthetic is quasi-mechanical insectoid, which is way cooler than it sounds. The puzzles don't get head-scratchingly difficult until the last quarter of the game, and for the first half, it's almost a breeze. Very enjoyable but very short. 8/10.

I only had the faintest of memories of this game from when I was a kid, so playing it again now was a perfect blend of nostalgia and discovery. I had remembered the biggest twist after a few minutes of playing, but the rest was happily lost in the fog of my memory, and I'm glad it was this way. I got to discover things I'd missed all those years ago, and got to look at it under the lens of the big twist. Truly, a great experience with an even greater-told story.

A perfectly captured moment from my childhood. I remember being both puzzled and in awe of these games, and playing them as an adult, I found the experience repeated. For Flash games dating back almost 20 years, they have kept their status as being challenging and bewildering, with innovative ideas and convoluted puzzles. I don't often have favorites, but I will say that Mateusz Skutnik is one of my favorite video game developers, and I can hardly wait for his future projects.

20 hours in, level 20 in game, 20% challenges completed ... at this rate, my playthrough is going to be 100 hours. Oh well.

Very easily addictive, like any good roguelike. You fall into the mentality of "Just one more run! I'll make it this time fr fr!" and before you know it, one more run turns into five more runs, and it's two in the morning and you've forgotten what it was to not be holding down the attack button.

My only point of contention with the game is that I like games with a decent story, and this game just kinda goes "lol what story?" and sends you to jump off a cliff. I dunno, maybe I haven't played it enough to discover the actual LOOOORE,

This game takes everything good from the original and expands on it. There's more combat options, more movement options, more map markers (which are SORELY needed), more bosses, more characters, and more LORE.

My only gripe is that they repeated the trend of second-to-last boss that is human, quick, lightning-infused, and way harder than it should be, followed by a final boss that's a pushover in comparison. Except Crisanta was a badass that we all got emotionally attached to with the DLCs. The new penultimate boss is just a sock to the jaw after a hike up a mountain that sends you tumbling back down to the bottom.

I hope this game gets the same amount of love and attention from the Devs with all the first game's DLCs. I'm sure it will, I just hope it gets released quickly because I'm desperate for more content.

It's Bloodborne, but make it Detroit: Become Human. What's not to like?

Stardew Valley but High Fantasy and with better skill trees. Oh, and you generate money automatically, there's no jealousy system, you get a MASSIVE inventory, there's magic spells that are honestly OP, there's so many different pets that are all so freaking cute, and there's 18 (yep, you saw that right) EIGHTEEN romanceable characters. Do I like it better than Stardew? No, SDV has a special place in my heart. But could I easily see myself spending 50-100 more hours in this game? 10000% yes.
