Galactic Paragons is, in all honesty, one of the best DLCs Paradox has released for Stellaris. The extra council mechanics, civics features and, most importantly, the new paragons add lots of flavor and make your playthroughs way more interesting.

With Paragons, your leaders can now occupy various different positions in your empire's leading council, based around your government's civics. Leaders themselves have also become substantially more powerful, with the addition of classes, veteran traits and destiny traits. A high-level admiral can now make a huge difference in your fleets' power, while a decent governor can boost your planets' output immensely. It's all about how you use your leader cap, which brings us to what's probably the most important part of the review, the criticism.

Most of the negative reviews are actually regarding the 3.8 "Gemini" update, as opposed to the "Galactic Paragons" DLC. But, even then, I can hardly deem the critics reasonable.

The core concept of both the update and the DLC was to make leaders more important, meaningful and interesting. Yes, you will find yourself unable to procure as many science ships as you used to in previous games. But that's because your new scientists are way better than the ones you're used to. Both the tiered traits and the new classes make leaders extremely powerful if used and built correctly. Hell, the leader cap isn't even a hard cap, and its penalties get less severe the more cap you have.

You've got too many fleets? Just give them a damn admiral with bonuses towards fleet command limit, which can bring it up to 500 . Your scientist isn't surveying fast enough? Lucky you, you can upgrade the surveyor trait, and going down the explorer class increases that scientist's experience gain by 50%.

Looking at it this way, it's like most good Stellaris updates have been, a change to a fundamental system. People just need to get used to it.

A normal Risk of Rain 2 playthrough:
> Start run
> Get a legendary item first stage ?!?!?!
> Die to a wisp event

10/10 would recommend.

Introduction:

Stellaris is a 4x strategy game in which you create your own empire out of a great variety of ethics, civics, authority, races, traits and many more aspects. You spawn in in a galaxy of your desired size alongside other empires who are competing with you for galactic domination. During your quest towards complete domination, you will encounter various event logs which are worth the read, other civilizations, enigmatic space-faring creatures and space pirates.

Pros:

- Amazing visuals you can stare at for quite some time, although their impact on gameplay is minimal.
- Deep empire building aspect to the game.
- A lot of unlockable content with DLCs which, in my opinion, are all worth their price (except the species portraits).
- Multiplayer is absolutely great if you have the friends needed.

Cons:

- Steep learning curve.
- In long-lasting matches, lag is frequent.
- Increasing enemy difficulty does not make them smarter, rather it gives them more resources.

Really good game with a deep gameplay and with infinite possibilities. Name it and you got it! From creating a horned flying creature to designing your own spaceship. This game offers players to choose whether they want to be a sociable, innocent creature or a predator, who hunts those innocent little creatures. All and all this game can make you loose track of time and spend a whole 10 hour session just trying to dominate the whole galaxy. 10/10

Really good game with a great storyline and good mechanics. Space battles are absolutely epic while ground ones are clunky and may get boring. All and all this is a great game with an awesome modding community. My personal favourite mods are Thrawns revenge, Clone wars mod and EaW Remake. 9/10
