CS:GO Review
I know this game has been out for 10 years already, but I never reviewed it and I wanted to reflect on the good memories I’ve had with it.

CSGO has played such a great role in my life. I bought the game back in 2017 before it went F2P and I started my journey to improving.

I sucked.

But, I grew to love the overly toxic and comical community of players that I competed with. I enjoyed getting into heated competitions with other players in deathmatches and playing custom maps with friends.

I think one of my favorite things about CSGO is that it defies modern gaming trends. It has no battle pass, cheap cosmetics you can get from the community marketplace, and it keeps SBMM out of the casual playlists. It also doesn’t have disbanding lobbies and it has map voting.

CSGO is always, everyday at the top of the steam charts and there’s no surprise as to why. This game is infinitely repayable and I love that there’s no true grind to it. It makes hopping back into the game after not playing for a few weeks so seamless.

While this is an issue with all Valve games (because VAC is bad), this game has so many cheaters (aim and walling). While they often get vote-kicked, it’s still annoying. Regardless, this is easily the best FPS game I’ve ever played and if you’ve never given it a try, I totally recommend it.

9/10
