Probably the best Farcry game. Since everyone is going to (rightfully) gush over the visuals i dont think i will have to say much about that department.

The gameplay is exhausting and stressful. The commute from mission to mission is often just as hard as the mission itself.
If this is not the first fps game you ever played, play in the hardest difficulty. The hardest difficulty suits the tone and the way characters treat warfare and your struggle/ journey the best. If you play in normal difficulty or below the game becomes a cakewalk and you can just walk past enemies and disregard checkpoints. If you are into an immersive experience and fun, hard but fair combat, the hardest difficulty is for you. If you are a person who doesnt like challenge and would rather walk through scores of enemies with ease and you think the lower difficulties suit you, i suggest you play another game.

This is pure personal preference but if you want to amp up the difficulty even higher, i suggest using a controller for playing. The combat and shooting becomes wonky, unreliable. You will miss a lot and you will be required to rely on your environment, cover, the terrain to get through fights since your aim wont be godlike. Again, this is just personal preference but i think the fact that the player character also misses and has to blindfire in cases also adds to the tone and atmosphere of the game.

The story is basically the player character doing unethical jobs after jobs for the two opposing factions until the plot decides to find you again. Its nothing phenominal but its definately above what id expected from a far cry game.

a criticism i have is the fact that combat music can get quite repetitive. Since you will be doing combat throughout the entire game i suggest turning the music off (even though there are some bangers in there). This way combat can start without your knowledge and enemies can and will ambush you.
