Proto-Read Dead Redemption by the guys who did Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Certainly more pulpy and over the top then Read Dead but that doesn't stop it from having an entertaining story in its own right. It's also paced very well! There's not a single moment that is dull and the game doesn't overstay its welcome.

However I only recommend getting this on sale, since this game is long due for a remaster.

Hmm, I don’t think it’s a masterpiece that a lot of people make it out to be but it’s an interesting attempt to comment on military shooters of the time. Unfortunately the “game” itself is just utterly dull ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a chore to play through.

The story carries this game HARD and it's worth at least experiencing once if you could push through the uninspired gameplay.

Unfortunately you can’t buy the game anymore…….. Sort out the licensing issues dammit!

Definitely worth a playthrough for the story and atmosphere, as long as you don’t get burned out by the monotonous and padded gameplay

It’s okay. Not a terrible game, but not a great one either. Definitely is my least favorite in the reboot Shadow Warrior trilogy.

The satisfying sword combat from the first two games has been sidelined and dumbed down in favor for the gunplay which is aping Doom 2016/Eternal pretty hard. The moment to moment gunfights were fun and are the best thing about Shadow Warrior 3, but became very tedious and repetitive as the game went on due to a lack of variety and just didn’t feel as satisfying as the latest Doom games.

Another disappointing aspect was the lack of exploration for finding secrets that were present in the first two games as well. Instead we get a lot of wall running and platforming in between the arena fights which are mind numbingly dull.

The worst thing about Shadow Warrior 3 is the humor. Dear God! The humor in this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ groan worthy. The first two games had a nice blend of being serious and juvenile, but this game throws out the serious tone all together and goes full on bonkers. I wouldn’t mind the new direction if the writing was actually funny……… ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it isn’t! The writing in this game is very “tismy” and Marvel-esque. And worst of all, it’s constantly in your face, As Lo Wang never shuts his damn mouth up and constantly yaps throughout the game. No offense to Mike Moh, but his performance as Lo Wang is just cringey and the developers firing Jason Liebrecht because he’s white was a dumb move.

Visually I have to say Shadow Warrior 3 looks quite good as it’s visually pleasing due to good art direction. Lo Wang’s redesign is ass tho. He looks like a Great-Value brand Star-Lord now and having his hair grown out is hearsay. He should be bald, I say! BALD BALD BALD!!!

I had fun with Shadow Warrior 3 even though it felt shallow overall, but after completing it I don't think I have any desire to replay it. The campaign is only 5-6 hours long and there isn’t much to do after you beat the game.

I would say I got my money’s worth since I only paid 5.99$ for it. However this game is sure as ♥♥♥♥ ain’t worth full price.
