This is a great game for $13, which is what it costs 80% off. Any more than $20 and you're getting ripped off.

Take it from a guy who doesn't like survival games: This is an awesome ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. For a sub $30 game, this is an absolute gem.

The good: it's a star wars game, it sounds amazing, and it's always fun to play a Jedi.

The bad: the game itself. cosmetic options? not really. good story? eh. maybe. fun, engaging gameplay? nowhere to be found. the game plays like the bastard child of Dark Souls and Laura Croft, and not in a good way.

For $25 or less, it's worth the gamble. Never, ever even consider buying this at full price.

This game was so good for so long. The engine update should have brought newfound success to this game.

Instead, alongside the engine update came substantial changes to the core ethos of the game. Almost all the lore, which was deep and extensive, was entirely removed. Many of the aesthetic, immersive hunter skins were removed entirely. Immersion breaking, licensed character skins (lookin at you Ghostface) were added... not as easter eggs, not referenced, but directly licensed, paid for by Crytek, skins.

Fifield did great when he did nothing. The game has changed and if the steam charts are the judge, not for the better.

The people that paid for and supported this game over the past five years have been abandoned. If I knew the dollars I paid for DLC skins, not because I needed them or even necessarily wanted them, but because I wanted to support Hunt..... If I knew those dollars were going to be put to use buying a license for Ghostface, a character from the 1990's not the 1890's.... I wouldn't have spent a single dollar. I wouldn't have bought multiple copies of the game for myself and friends. I would have made my one time purchase and gotten my 1500 hours of fun.
