I honestly don’t get the hate people give this game, in my opinion it’s the best game is the series by far.
The stealth is a huge step up from previous games that improves drastically from previous games in many different ways.
The parkour is similar to unity in regards to its freeing movement, however it sacrifices the dedicated jump button and a slight bit of vertical movement in return for fixing a large multitude of transition/animation bugs.
The combat, while nothing truly amazing, is fully functional 100% of the time, which is a huge step up from unity. The multi kill animations are also pretty fun and they reward you for setting up multiple enemies for finishers while thinking about your next move.
The map design is great, having a great deal of variety, while at the same time focusing on and complementing the new stealth systems, along with the new grappling hook mechanic (although the grappling hook can invalidate the parkour in many areas, it’s not required for you to use and it spices up stealth/parkour gameplay when combined with arial assassinations.)
There’s a lot of side activities that fill up the world as well, which is a nice change of pace when compared to many other Ubisoft games where the world is almost completely barren.
The setting is another great aspect that they take full advantage of, having many missions related to Victorian English folklore that was commonplace during the Industrial Revolution.
Overall I’d give this game a solid 9/10, it’s nearly perfect, with the only thing I really have any complaints about being the story. Starrick is a very stereotypical antagonist that wasn’t fleshed out at all until the last few missions, if they gave him that kind of personality throughout the whole game, the story would be much more compelling.

The new dl points system kind of ruined what little respect I had left for techland, and you can't even blame tencent for it because they said they were planning on doing it long before tencent bought them out.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is underrated, this is the first zombie game I’ve played where hordes are a genuine threat that causes stress without being completely unbeatable, and this is coming from somebody who’s played the genre more than any other game genre for the past 5 years.
Human combat is also a lot of fun, giving a similar feel to the last of us, but being much less predictable as they set up ambushes along the road in an attempt to catch you off guard.
The story is extremely good for the most part too, but there’s a couple parts of it that just seem strange or unnecessary, especially the missions after the main campaign.
Once I first tried the game out I couldn’t put it down until I was completely finished with it, I’d definitely recommend it to anybody that’s a fan of zombie games.

Last year 2- err I Mean Nighthunt is a game where you work in groups of 3 to either defend or attack a position in a similar format to cs:go and siege's hostage mode. It reuses a lot of assets from last year: the nightmare but in a way where it feels like a different game regardless, it's fun and has lots of potential but at the moment it lacks something, and that's not referring to the lack of a progression system that will be added later.

I think this game needs another mode or two in order to spice things up a bit, along with making the satellite decrease speed rather than just completely disabling sprint

This game is exactly what Back 4 Blood wanted to be and failed to become: A true successor to left 4 dead. The only issue I have is the lack of players, with only 526 online users at the time of writing this review, in my opinion this game deserves a bigger playerbase

This is your typical objective-based horde shooter with special enemies but with a unique mechanic where you can fortify a position with various items you find on the ground such as mortars, car batteries that electrify fences, automatic turrets, stationary machine guns, and barbed wire.

This game also features 8 different classes with their own unique role and skill trees, which although could use some tweaking for balance, but are all useful in their own regards. My personal favorite class is the fixer: a support class that specializes in ranged combat, mainly semi-automatic weapons, giving teammates explosive rounds or throwing a grenade that cloaks you and other players from infected for a few seconds, along with supplying additional ammunition.

This game, like many horde shooters, features a few special infected that spawn with the hordes that you need to look out for, including the lurker; a stealth-type zombie that growls quietly around corners and pounces survivors that get close (similar to left 4 dead’s hunter), the bull; a zombie that wears riot gear and charges at survivors in an attempt to pummel them into the ground (similar to l4d charger), the bomber; a zombie that wears an explosive vest that triggers upon getting too close or being shot, the gasbag; a hazmat zombie that leaks toxic chemicals into the air if shot anywhere but the head, and the infector; a ranger attacker that spits their blood at you in an attempt to infect you (turns you into a zombie within a few seconds if you don’t take roughly 3 seconds to disinfect yourself)

In conclusion this is what a modern left 4 dead game should be like, the only issue is the player count because you’ll likely have to play alone with awful ai teammates unless you’re with friends.

Easily the best DLC this game has ever received, not only having an incredible story campaign with no filler content, but also having multiple difficulties to choose from, an incredibly well designed enemy type, several new and unique boss fights, and a new story arc regarding the voice behind the darkness that's been hinted at since destiny 1.

Another great part about this dlc is how they actually make the deluxe edition worth the price, giving 4 seasonal campaigns throughout the year, 2 new dungeons, and a few unique cosmetic items (all of which other than the cosmetics can be purchased separately, although at a higher gross price were you to buy them all individually.)

It’s hard to make a review on this, it used to be a whole dlc and in my opinion the best campaign in the entire game. Basically just get it if you really want the raid and dungeon (which are pretty damn good). Although if you want the campaign, too bad, it doesn’t exist anymore.
