Completely honest review. I'm a BETA player who has to frequently take breaks from playing these types of games as they aren't my style. I only generally play when I'm in the mood for this type of game AND I'm with friends cuz it's more enjoyable.

I've left the Social Deduction genre in the past cuz of the community being overall creepy and not knowing how to talk to people.

The excessive micro-transactions that this game has compared to its' successor is insane and it feels like whoever was in charge of that is only in it for the money and doesn't actually care about the playerbase and their feedback. Micro-transactions will be one of the many reasons why this game dies. I want to enjoy a game, not see a bunch of ads for stuff I'll never buy or care about and I can't toggle it without mods.

The learning curve in this game is horrendous for new players as if they're evil there's no room to lie if you have a Deputy, Prosecutor, Mayor, Marshal + Town of Seers. New players cannot learn in any game mode as it's dead, except All Any.

The game is also not worth playing if you aren't playing from 12pm EST to 4pm EST as the lobbies take FOREVER to find players. The main reason why the game is so popular at these times is because of TubaAntics, and even then I don't think he plays "normal" modes and it's strictly modded games.

If the successor of this game becomes popular again, I'd gladly play that game again. But Town of Salem 2 is not worth my time, my energy or my mental health. Town of Salem 1 didn't shove micro-transactions down your throat 24/7.

Fun game to play with or without friends. I assume it'd be easier if you have discord or irl communication, but there's definitely some creative ways that you can communicate to public lobby players that involve using "TAB" and clicking. Public lobby players seem to understand with very minimal communicate.

TL;DR
- No bugs.
- An easy-to-understand communication system
- Cute graphics
- Fun unique puzzles that I wish there were more of.
- 3 different modes!
- Play with randoms or friends(if you're lucky to have friends)

A very fun game that I love to play to pass the time. The way I play basically allows me to guess with 100% accuracy what cards the other players have. Because I play many social deduction games; this game was surprisingly easy to learn that it only took me an hour to fully master the game. It's great to build up your brain and thinking skills. There is one problem that I ran into when playing with friends. Randomly, whenever it was my turn to roll the dice, the game doesn't register my roll and I'm spam clicking and there's nothing I can do. I tell my friends, "look I have to leave the game, I got the stupid bug." Luckily, they understand. If I could recommend something to fix the issue, I'd recommend a keyboard shortcut; like "R" for "Roll." Nonetheless, still a very fun and simple game even with this little bug.
