this is going to be a long one this is my honest review and how they can fix it:

the games concept is really cool but it has very good base mechanics like blood sampling and poop collection but other than that it’s lacking, a better approach would be to add more mechanics involving animal interaction and longer tasks that feel more meaningful, Along with that the entire animal infection interaction needs to be reworked not only does it happen in an almost scripted manner, where you know when an animal is going to transform every time but when they do you suffer no consequences as a player when you get attacked. along with that the game goes from horror to a more destiny 2 type ordeal, where instead of running and hiding the game just feels like a hack and slash that you don’t feel pressured to make any real decisions. leading to the whole infected animal interaction just being boring. but speaking of boring is the lack luster story not only did we not get any meaningful background on anyone we got very surface level info, nothing too deep nothing explaining who the mother is and why the zoo even exists, and even worse was the 12 endings that are almost exactly the same only change is do you die or do you exit and destroy the docs car.

in my opinion the game (if you can call it that) has a lot of good ideas that were very poorly executed and if i’m being honest the best route to make this a success would be to make this a free game then make it a intro or demo as a way of advertisement and rebuild zoochosis from the ground up including multiplayer, meaningful decisions that actually affect game play not just endings, more mechanics, real consequences for the player, get rid of the linear storytelling and implement a survival discovery based storytelling based off of previous workers who passed away to slowly uncover what’s going on, build the game into a night based survival game where animals slowly get more and more infected and deadly as the night progresses or take the forest approach where the animals only become deadly at night and you have to survive multiple nights, along with adding more tools but giving the player real reasons to use and repercussion’s to not use tools along with scattering the tools in hidden locations.

in the end this game was lacking on a lot but this could be used as an opportunity to make something truly unique and successful i hope someone can take mine and many others advice and really look into where they went wrong and make the changes that NEED to be made, i look forward to seeing what becomes of this game id hate to see it abandoned and forgotten about. sadly i cannot recommend this game until it is rebuilt from the ground up

i grappled ontop of the crown and walked on the damn thing but it still wouldnt let me grab it, this game is a let down on so many levels
