i can safely say that I have played this game for more than any other racing game by far. It is safely one of my favorite games ever made, and I put in the hours like a complete nerd to try and be the fastest racer (to little avail as of writing this review because acE is just so good that I need many more hours to catch up).
My favorite parts of this game are definitely the sense of speed and the handling of the pods. Of course the handling varies by pod but overall it's pretty satisfying.
The skill ceiling is immeasurably high as far as racing games go, with skips and insane tricks to boot. I'm not going to pretend that it is perfect. I wish there were better graphics, more tracks, more racers, etc, but it is easily the best racing game I have ever touched, and may ever touch.
Star Wars fan or not, this game is great to get into, and while unbelievably complex and difficult to truly master, it is so rewarding and fun to try and improve.

Just a by the way, I do speedrun the game and am a Star Wars fan, so you could claim bias, but I've thought this about the game for years longer than I've been speed running it, so i think it's decently unbiased and more based on experience.
