Call of Duty will always have a special place in my heart due to the early 2010s giving me some of the most full I've had in gaming. With that being said... I think they have just fallen off too far as a gaming studio that I can no longer recommend them if youre just wanting to have a fun on your off time. The Plague with many games these days are the devs trying to cater too much to the player base. When you try and make everyone happy and or equal in games, no one has a good time. SBMM I understand many companies think is a needed feature in almost all modern titles, however it takes away the the glory of being a good player. I feel if you have put in the time and effort to get good at any game you deserve to be able to show that skill via winning alot. I know I do not speak for everyone but I have no issues losing games to someone that I can tell is just flat better than I am. It gives me something to strive for. The MAIN issue I have with SBMM on any game is no matter your skill the game will try and artificially make you have a 50% win rate no matter what. Where does your skill expression go? In BO2 SBMM was not NEARLY as strong as it was now and good players could just straight carry games and it would normally be 1 player on each team is really good and the rest were even matched with someone else on the other side. Now? Well if youre good enough (I will be referencing KD as a form of skill) say a 2+ KD (Im a mainly search player) your team will not even have a 1 KD to "balance" to team. But the other team could be a full stack with the average of 1KD which you may not think is an issue however you will almost NEVER win that game. I have friends with even higher KD's than myself and they cannot queue without being put into cheater lobbies because the game NEEDS to find someone better so he loses I.E. the cheater. What happened to COD? If you want to have an alright time you have to SWEAT just so you get some wins for the night. Cheating is at an all time high with pretty much every game, wanna be content creators running rampant sweating every game like there"s money on the line, the games code intentionally trying to make you lose games, maps being recycled for the 10th year in a row, and lets no mention weapon balancing (or lack there of). What happened? Im choosing not bring up controller vs mnk or crap servers to save time but there is still a lot of potential with the games. At the core its a fun FPS arcade shooter but while trying to make the game fun for everyone they made it fun for no one.


I will leave comments on though I will not check regularly but let me know if you think differently and why if you do. I just feel the spark the game had died with MW2019 and hasnt been back at all since.

If you are tired of competitive games and just want to relax for a bit with some friends while just not caring whats going on just try this game, its worth it.

It is exactly what you think it is. Not a ton of effort in graphics but great gun play. Fun to waste some time on here and there without a super competitive feel.
