Amazing atmosphere, interesting mechanics, expansive world, intriguing story and lore, highly recommend for fans of the metroidvania style or worlds with good atmosphere and those who like merfolk. Fun and compelling.

Complete and total fan service, no substance as a game though unless your really like idle clickers.

In short if you want to fantasize about being with a variety of monster girls (with optional 18+ content by getting the patch) then yeah go for it, but I can't recomend it as a game, even the dirty sceces are not interactive just pictures of sexy cute moster girls ocationally changing facial expressions.

This game is good. It's atmosphic, it's mysterious and it's more puzzle than platformer in a very good way. Your not some all conquering hero. Your just a little kid. Trying to survive death traps and solve puzzles with nothing but your wits. I love my power trip game as much as the next guy but there is a certain poetry to a game like this, it's not adrenaline from action but from fear without really being a horror game, but we were all kids once so it is easy to identify with.
This game should be taken slowly both to figure out the puzzles and to take in the atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

A fun game with an interesting world. The inspiration from Sega is obvious but not a bad thing. Everything feels familiar but fresh. One design choice I think makes it stand out is the lack of collision damage, unless the enemy is covered in spikes or fire it has to actively attack to do any damage, you can run right through if you want to in many cases. However you have your own set of combat moves that makes engaging enemies fun too.

The story is fun in my opinion but it is probably the most flawed thing in the game, but I still recommend experiencing it to get to know the world and characters, characterization is done very well.

Like it's inspiration, the music is amazing, I bought the soundtrack, and it has a fun and unique identity, I give the music an A +
And the game overall an A.
Can't wait for the sequel.

A great retro throwback while taking design improvements from modem day. Great gameplay, taking cues from the 80s, 90s and today.
The characters are charming and the writing fun.
Take a bit of MegaMan, a pinch of Shantae, maybe a small amount of Shovel Knight, and a love of monster girls and you have a cute and fun game that's completely free and more than worth your time.

This game plays alot like a Super Smash Brothers game, but does enough different to justify existing. The combat system is a bit simpler with each character having only 3 specials instead of 4 and all the characters sharing from a weapon pool of about 10 or so weapons and you have to pick up a weapon in the area at the start, each time you die or if you take enough of a beating to drop it.

The main draw for me other than gameplay is the quirky cast of warriors each with a unique backstory, although they pull from common archetypes and stereotypes each legend has their own personality and reading all the backstories can be fun in it's own right.

Why are Cowgirl, a Viking, an alien invador, a Jungle Queen, a Knight, etc etc, warriors from different time periods all fighting? Simple they died and Vahalla is the afterlife in this universe or maybe multiverse, but the premise is fun and novel and I enjoy it. A dragon, a minotaur, an Archer with katars, a samurai, a ninja, a monster hunter.......

Verdict: It is a fun game with good gameplay, presentation and lots of personality and it is free to play, though not paying will limit your legend choices weekly you can unlock them all eventually. 90 hours and I've unlocked about a third, but 20 buck isnt a lot for a game either so take your pick.
