The negatives far outway the postives Marc. I play much better on asia and never complain about red ping players when we had/have games lol. Just play the game and dont get salty when you get beat lol

You can ask Thundercunt if he thinks that red ping is a advantage.
Back in the day we had a match on private group in Europe server. He had advantage then, and when I asked him he even admited it that for him it was better because for him the opponent was more consistent. Of course we also played on his local region server. And I had it more easy then using precision weapons.

I would love to buy the license of this game one day to play really local LAN-Parties whereever I will live in Europe then.
A bar would be so cool, with weekly competitions. Would be amazing, but since social distancing is a really benefit increasing measure I dont believe this will be possible.

Look at this video and then tell me how a game which can be manipulated in many ways (by fluctuating technical circumstances of connection, via console of the game by hackers/ cheaters, and maybe also by the administrators of the server who act in occult ways) affect the mind of a normal person.

I agree a LAN party would be the way to go.
But I dont agree that 'one red dot ping' is an advantage.
On NA and Eu servers i get smashed. When my overseas friends come and play on Asian server I allways do better.

Lag is a delay in time. So if factor 1 is the realtime. And your signal needs factor 1.75 timeunits to reach the european server, while the signal of european resident is 1.25 timeunits, - Then what happens to this 0,5 timeunits of delay? I can tell you what happens: The netcode just cut this 0,5 seconds off. Its time which do not exist in the game. So in order to compensate for the delay in time, the only way to make a (at least in appearance) present tense game is to make that animations somehow going altough sometimes it is very obvious that avatars teleport and hits just doesnt register by the server because its time being cut off by the programms netcode.
Client send input to server, server sends input to opponents client while his client is sending the opponents input to the server, then server sends it to the client of the other player (but this only occurs if the netcode permits it in the certain timespan which was choosen by the programmers).

Why do you think there are special powerups in the game? Just for fun? No in fact the programmers knew that they would have to implement certain compensating elements into the game to keep the gamers enganged in a non region-blocked game.

The most intelligent, fair and human thing you could do is create a australian group to play on your local region server. It will be not that fair like in a LAN-PARTY (yeah Im a relatively old-♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I know what this is because I actually participate in them many years ago) but it is better than this yellow&red ping crap.

How do you think that lag is handled by a programm not only by our beloved DOOM but in ANY online- game?

try adjusting your mouse pad size and sensitivity settings along with disabling mouse pointer precision, that should fix it

Maybe ping is also a thing, I'm from Germany and DOOM has such a small community that I ahve to play on North America server during off hours. The netcode is not doing well with high ping I noticed.

No, my KD is even only at 2.0, I play a lot of other shooters though (Apex Legends, CSGO, Rainbow Six Siege), so I'm a bit above average, but I get my ass handed to me on many levels as well.
