I normally hate the horror games where you can only run and hide, I am more of an Action-Horror guy. That's why I loved every moment of this game. The character and monster designs are fantastic, the story demands that you pay attention to your surroundings.
Gameplay is quite challenging too, main character moves very slow and deliberately which is a part of the challenge. You have to be smart and quick-thinker to win against all the odds stacked against you. Stealth sections in DLC are particularly gripping.
Hated the letterboxing, but I must say the game ran very well on my i5 7500 with GTX1060 6GB without any hiccups. However reading diaries and notes interface was plain bad.
Another particular thing I really hated about it was the wooden voice acting. Everybody is a tough guy or gal betraying no emotions. Guess that's the B-movie charm of the game. I rate it 8.5/10.
