I started playing the xcom games with xcom2. i really enjoyed how the game played and how the mechanics worked but there were some major pacing issues as well as the game just feeling like it was trying to destroy everything you have built. both of these things ruined the experience for me. This game fixes those thing in a great way

The ability to roam around the battle field and scope out a situation is a great addition to this game. it allows you to plan strategize and in a lot of cases kill off some of the people earlier so you don't have to engage all of them in a big fight. This means that for me it was no longer about the game breaking me but more about me not being prepared enough for the fight.

Overall I have loved this game and i would recommend it to anyone that enjoys tactical strategy games
