War Thunder is a free-to-play online multiplayer game that initially seems like a lot of fun, with its large selection of vehicles and the ability to engage in battles against players from around the world. However, as you begin to play more and more, it becomes increasingly clear that this game is simply designed to extract as much money from you as possible. The matchmaking system is often unfair and unbalanced, putting you up against players with much better planes or tanks than your own.

Additionally, the game puts too much emphasis on grinding through various levels just to unlock new vehicles or upgrades for your existing ones- thus forcing players into paying money just for a chance at winning battles. Even when you do finally unlock something new after hours upon hours of grinding away, it's usually not even worth all the effort due to how underpowered it can be compared to what other players have access to.

Furthermore, War Thunder suffers from poor optimization and numerous bugs that can easily ruin your gameplay experience. You'll often encounter glitches such as tanks getting stuck in terrain features or planes randomly crashing mid-flight without any explanation whatsoever.

Overall, I would give War Thunder a 2 out of 5 stars rating because while its concept seems promising at first glance but grueling grind mechanics accompanied by unbalanced gameplay and poor optimization make it an incredibly frustrating experience that ultimately isn't worth playing unless you want to spend way too much time -and/or money- on unlocking things only to then get utterly destroyed by kids who purchased overpowered premium content packages.
