Welp, no doubt the most fun I've had with a Warhammer TW Lord ever, be it the very good state of the game now or Elspeth's faction design, this was a blast!

Perfect mix of RP & Total War, without necessarily having to concern yourself with occupying lands. She exploits to the best the diplomatic system, coupled with the Gardens of Morr, this is a great experience!

Help Karl Franz, restore fallen allies, go on crusade like Bretonnians wish they could ^^
Elspeth is badass, and a lot of fun!

Such a promising Gem of an RTS.
Perfect launch, outstanding presentation & artistry, a true passion comes through all the features that are not gameplay.
But it suffers from the greatest Sin of all recent big RTS imo: no Game Modes variety:
- no annihilation mode
- BFME style build-able but even more limited
- no terrain corruption payoff for Controlling a part of the map, which can be very satisfying when other parts of gameplay are lacking. Paint the map is always fun.

I dropped the game 2 weeks after launch, played the open beta & bought on Day1, I saw the potential and it was glorious.
And now I'm coming back to play it, it is a good but lacking RTS.

The Dawn of War vibes are strong with this one, and I wish it had gone the more creative route Relic always entertained with build-able defenses.
I wish the devs had stuck with it, and developed it into a deeper, free-er style of gameplay like how Relic kept fixing the very rough Company of Heroes 3 post-launch.
Sometimes, you just got to stick with it until it works.

So unlike Company of Heroes 3, we can't follow the greatest development adventure and say "Yes, it's worth 60€". But it is a very solid game.
I am recommending it because:
1. I love RTS, and I want to see more.
2. Realms of Ruin is one of the best RTS of recent years despite gameplay shortcomings... Realms of Ruin 2 or Big Faction Expansion better be a thing, otherwise such a waste of talent!

Frontier, one advice: Stop going for dumb down gameplay. Jurassic World Evolution is so shallow/no stakes it's not very fun, bring depth, bring player decision making & randomization, fighting the odds is THE fun.

Absolutely shaping up to become my favorite Total War.
Never enjoyed WH1, did start liking WH2, and missed the shot of WH3.... bought 1 year after launch & didn't enjoy it much. But now I'm coming back to it, and for the last few months it has grown on me at an alarming rate!

So far the best campaign level interaction in a roleplay style, you can really interact with your allies in so many cool ways not just diplomacy.
Custom Battles are now a Company of Heroes/relic style of capture the point with reinforcements, absolutely perfect if you wanna have a skirmish vs Ai or MP session, not campaign.
On top of that there's 2 other completely different game modes which are mini-missions with character level & visual upgrades, this is just the cherry on the cake there's way too much ways to enjoy this freaking game xD

The variety of races & playstyle is insane, no game will ever contest 10 years of continuous development & the depth of the Warhammer Fantasy lore. Nor the love the devs are putting into that game/franchise.

In short, replayability is through the roof. You like a high quality british fantasy mashup? You enjoy good music, the renaissance nightmarefueled by Count Dracula & dinosaurs and the only video game adaptation of Monthy Python's Holly Grail?
What are you waiting for! Grab game 1, and enjoy the Immortal Empire world campaign as the lowly human underdogs, no doubt the best experience I've had in a video game. This is Total War, and it'll never End.

Finally! Wartheunder 2.0, with infantry!
I wish we had more PvE / Mission editor to enjoy the game, but the first few games at low tiers will be engraved in my memory, such classics! D-Day, litterally, and a few russian winter maps all of them gave opportunity for such cool moments!
That has to be the perfect set of gameplay ideas I've been waiting forever!
It's not as gut wrenching as BF1, but the wider variety & the squad based gameplay with Ai is just perfect. I don't like PvP, I don't care a bout competitiveness, and here we get the best of both worlds in a perfect mix.

Add to that the vehicle system is brought from Warthunder, it's the cherry on the cake.
Oddly enough, here are some criticism though:

- UI/interface feels clunky, not very responsive (visual feedback). Just needs some visual improvements .
- Tank gameplay is not as smooth as it could be, warthunder has the advantage. I wish there was a 3rd person view to enjoy the spectacle in an offline/singeplayer mode.
- Lack of Singleplayer. I would absoluetly buy a singleplayer game like this one, Brothers in Arms / Warthunder / Battlefield hybid, this is just too perfect to not make it an SP game.

One of the great Total War, it has many great things and many other promising ones.
Lots of meaningful evolution or re-integration over the several previous titles, great craftsmanship and love poured into it. All I can is... Ardeth Bay is alive!!

This game now only needs to grow, expand, and if it can reach a little closer to Troy's battle pace & Rome1's campaign mechanics (actual population & genocides) & break the repetitive sieging mechanics that's plaguing the franchise for the last 5 games --it's always the same! Siege towers, funky wheeled ladders, and rams.
Add mythical stories in the mix, Moses' and other great changes of the era, even go anachronistic for the sake of gameplay (re-)evolution, it'll become a staple total war for sure!

Go CA!

Terminator Defiance is THE RTS any fan of the Terminator franchise have ever been waiting for, and it comes out in a masterful bang!
Destructive environment, badass Terminator sound effects & glorious visual effects, precise tactical gameplay & the ever expanding rush of adrenaline the campaign can provide if you choose to play it in true "movie" panic mode, this is one of the best RTS I've played.
Right there in the pantheon of personal favorites along Company of Heroes!

An amazing experience with a outstanding campaign that changes massively based on your choices and performance in battle, as well as offering massive replayability with an efficient economy on the world map.

A huge warning, this is branded as Dark Fate, but in truth, this plays like the best Future War Terminator 2 universe they could have made. Way above the film's world in both depth, immersion and credibility!
Defiance & Resistance are the 2 sequels the franchise needed, thanks for continuing the story as it deserved to be treated.

Slitherine and the original dev team did a wonderful job, and I dearly hope more is coming, this game deserves it!
Don't hesitate, throw them all your wallet & lunch money!! They need to keep working on it!

The best Age of Empire ever!
I like the original, but a few sound cues were unnerving, visuals aged a fair bit and I felt it was good but not enough to be played anymore.

But once remastered that beautifully, there's no doubt now.
This is my Definitive Age of Empire game.

The richness of the cultures, sound, variety of visuals & textures, very enjoyable campaign, and just... the Era! For a Pirate of the Caribbean fan with a strong obsession on native/mezzo american cultures it's a dream... The game being still updated with culture specific units reskin (for mainline infantry & such) & new factions just is the cherry at the top of the largest cake of the franchise ^^

All in all, AoE3:DE is the ultimate experience. Worth the price? Like hell, it revived the whole franchise by dipping it into the Fountain of Youth!
So, enjoy the sun & the heat if the new world, and cheers to the RTS genre that keeps on giving gold!

Despite all the bugs & lack of polish, this is without a doubt a best-of of Company of Heroes 1 & 2, all 4 factions are the best & most interestingly diverse they ever have been in any previous titles & taking a huge stride with a dynamic campaign in the style of Total War.

All those great elements have to click together now, and they will. I can only recommend this game if you have the honesty to recognize the game is great.

I officially uninstalled company of heroes 2, I don't see a reason to play it anymore. Only CoH1 & 3 matters now, along with the great mods that come with them. We are gifted the new Spearhead III mod developped by the original creator of CoH1, and that seems to develop extremely well!

So go ahead, and enjoy it, it's amazing & will only get better!

The most technically advanced & bold Total War since ages!

Battling bronze age myth under electric guitar raging & enchanting greek choirs, if you ever were energized by Frank Miller's 300 & the subsequent films, that game is a direct successor! And we can expect mods to bring it up to the Hot Gates of the Peloponnesian wars!

Wether you want to play historical or truth behind the myth, it is an amazing experience, and for a good price you can turn the game on its head and play an all new campaign map & hunt down Hydras or bring out Cerberus!
Age of Mytholgy total war in a nutshell!

On a technical & artistic level, Troy feels like a little revolution in itself & certainly has the best & most intuitive gameplay of the entire series!
Blowing out of the water the Warhammer engine it is built upon on many ways, the games feels alive & never has it been more enjoyable to play on the campaign map or in custom battles!

It is hard to come back to the previous titles after playing Troy, Total War games are evolving into something greater than one could have anticipated!

A complete cinematic experience more than a game!
So is it worth it ? Even more so!

At one point I feared the game may get bogged into an RPG routine crafting & sidequesting but the story actually never settles down and keeps pushing forward on a straight line!
Replayability is not that limited, I burst through the game without caring for special side-storylines or percs and only found ~1/4th of it.
Where Shadow of War or AC:origins bored me to hell, even infuriating me with repetitive crafting & sidequests to point I was literally wasting time, A plage Tale managed the perfect pacing to keep the tension high and every moments & characters count!

Kudos to developpers creating unique games like this, and I definitely hope there will be a followup!
