Guacamelee is my first 2D platform combat game. The combat system is beginner-friendly, and all the key bindings are set in the correct place. You can utilize specials attack and primary attack to perform some sick-looking moves, and you can see how Lucha Libre influences within the game. However, the level of difficulty can escalate quickly if you want to get 100% achievements. Some of these achievements really made me want to pull my hair out.

You can see the developer pour their heart out for this game. The game graphic is enjoyable, it uses a vibrant color theme rather than realistic, which effortless ties with the Lucha Libre background. Lastly, there are so many silly jokes hidden in the game for you to discover as well.

I highly recommend this game to anyone, whether you are or are not a fan of 2D combat, this game might be just the right fit for you.

Update: This game is GARBAGE.

Pros
Its free with hundred hours of contents for you to explore. I got to say that I made really good friends in this game (Love all my clanmates), but can be a pain if you have social anxiety.

Cons
Bungee does not know how to balance the game well. All they do is extreme, now all players are using auto rifle because no other weapon can outrun it. How pathetic that you need to use the weapon you don't like to win a match.

Moreover, if you are collectionist who only likes to play pve, good luck! Bungie will force you to farm exotic / good weapons in pvp! Do expect you to play 30 rounds of pvp for a exotic hand cannon quest.

Lastly, this is game is not user friendly. When I first start to play the game, I was overwhelmed by how many quests I have in my inventory, and there is little guidance on them. Also if you are lone wolf, good luck on soloing the dungeon, strike and raid by yourself. Most of time this game does not provide you with matchmaking, and therefore you have to find your teammates on other platform.

Played the old version a few years back and loved it. The remaster version did not disappoint me either. Each NPCs has a unique personality, and you have a lot of interactions between them and the environment. There are serval difficult challenges, but unless you are an achievement hunter, these challenges should not affect any of your gameplay. Also, the game contains many collectible items: animals, fishes, holy artifact and stray beads (hard to collect). Each boss is defeated differently. You need to incorporate your ink brushes skills in order to have a good fight.

If you are interested in Japanese strange creatures and tales, I highly recommend you to play the game. With the engaging storyline, music, and artwork, the game really draws you into the world of OKAMI.

The game has some extremly challenging puzzles, which might take you half an hour to solve it. However the idea using a 2D platform to repersent a 3D world is just amzing! I am also a pixel graphic fan, thereby the graphic is right up my alley.
I past game with 209.3% compeletion but have no boredom at all ( with the help of others and guide of course). This game will definitly worth your time and money.

Whenever I try to join a lobby, it says that cheater detected and then kicked me out from the lobby. It also takes forever to find a lobby ( waiting time is longer than the actual gaming time). I have never done such thing as cheating in the game, and I have wasted to much time on waiting. Therefore I do not recommend this game if these bugs are still present.
