In the g*me of Tetris, women are reduced into four-block tetrominoes that the player attempts to line up and clear lines. The objectification of women into these “tetrominoes” reducing their individuality to “colors and shapes", truly is a plague on our society. Afterwards, you line the pieces up into a row such that they all line up, implying that women are worthless if they do not “fit in” with the latest trends. Further, if too many pieces aren’t lined up, they form a tower, reach the top, and lose the g*me, being symbolic of suggesting that people who stick out from society cause the rest of society to collapse, stigmatizing societal change.

The L-piece and the T-piece especially are unrealistic standards for women, with gluteal muscle and breasts respectively being massively oversized. The I-piece is the most “useful” in the g*me, however it also promotes “diet culture”, saying that women have to be skinny to “fit in” to society, represented by a piece used clearing a line by fitting in to small gaps. The O-piece is similarily stigmatized, not even being able to rotate, perpetuating fat-phobia.

In conclusion, the various pieces and mechanics of one of the oldest video g*mes have led to the consumerist superficial culture plaguing young women today.
