Now I can no longer be a persona fan since I have played the game. SMH

Eh... it's alright.

The feels train. It was in full throttle. Nice cathartic experience. 80 hours in, just beat it for the first time, going back in for newgame+

Found myself struggling recently to have fun while playing new lego games recently, Lego Batman3, Lego marvel Superheroes2, the newest installment of Lego Starwars, and Lego the Incredibles, and was wondering why. After trying this game and enjoying the first level more than quite a bit I continued the story. This is when i figured out why I have been disliking the other games to an extent. Before I list the pros and cons of this game I just want to say that this has been my favorite Legogame since Lego Marvel Superheroes 1.
Pros:
~Compare to all other installments from the lego universe the voice acting in this game is miles better than the next contender.
~ You get to make your own character AS PART OF THE STORY... AND HAVE ANY SUPERPOWER YOU WANT! While until recently whenever you made a character you were limited in how effective they were.
~The game is smaller. Which is a nice scale back from the absolutely massive ambitions of Lego Marvel 2 that killed the vibe for me a little bit.
~ Shorter levels while telling the same amount of story is more enjoyable
~ The massive character roster*

Cons:
~The game being shorter to some can be a con.
~This game is missing some characters from previous installments that I enjoyed. (But that's a minor gripe).
~People are talking about glitches, and I have only experience 1 during the story but it wasn't major.

All in all my top 3 legogames. I would totally reccomend.

I have to thank my friends for showing the real life version of this and getting me addicted to it. Playing with them while hanging out is the best feeling. Now that i have found a way cheaper way to play this game and still have fun with it is nice. Tho the base game is lacking with only 4 villains if you have everything the game can provide contless of hours. I have yet to play every hero for every villain experience combos and synergies and that's with playing for years in real life and the amount of time on here. I also like the game because I use it as a reference tool, if something my friends and i are not sure about i can run a simulation on this game. The only thing that would make this game better is if it had more poeple to be with online.

My favorite FPS and the only looter-shooter I like.

I really don't know how to start this review other than, this Visual Novel has been the only one that has gotten me so attach to the story I end up wasting like 3 hours on it when i meant to only play for 15 minutes.
Total disclaimer I have only gone one route so far with a Rina and only just witness the first event of Yuzuyu, so those who have more game time and experience can problably tell you more. Also, spoiler warning.


*As someone who plays a decent amout of Visual Novels, both on steam and off steam, I see a trend when it comes to the more mundain ones. Bland protagonist meets 2D characterized character. After that they do very little together, and the Visual Novel has an overarching bland backround story that manages to take over. A lot of other Visual Novels makes it so all of your love interests constanly interact with eachother to the point where it doesn't feel like your choices you have made to swoon one girl affects other girls choices. In other Visual Novels I also notice a lack of some character development besides the generic troupes: tsundere, yandere, deredere, etc.*

Now... Evrything I have said in this previous paragraph also applies to ths game. However this game molds these generic troupes of the Visual Novel series and creates a story that intertwines all of these boring elements into a cohesive story, instead of just throwing it all together like some Visual Novels do. Your protagonist may be -- faceless, nameless, and lacks any personallity to begin with besides being a pervert -- an over all bland, but as the story developes you can make him pretty dynamic while trying to win over a girl. Speaking of which, you have the choice between three definite love choices and one mysterious one. Initially most of these characters are 2D carbon copies of previous prizes from the other novels degenerates like myself love to play. But unlike most other games that i have played, almost all of the ladies never grow into anything relatable; all of their flaws seems to be fictitious. But in this game the generic troupes of the past get a refreshing revival as the girls you meet flesh out into more 3D character developement. While I was trying to win over the heart of best girl Rina i was given a lot of small talk conversation at first. The choices I made seemed unimportant at first, but as I soon found out that you can learn a lot about what topics the girls like to talk about later based on previous conversations. This is something the game does well, having your new actions be based on previous ones and how you can't always count on the stereotypes of the women to make the right choice. This made me really invested into the relationship between the protagonist and the chick; something I have never felt with anyother visual novel. When i got to talk to Rina and go out on dates with her my heart would skip beats because I was nervous for my character. I was thinking about what happens if he gets rejected or what happens next when he passes the next hurdle of love. All of this stems from the fact you are given so much choice in the begining.

Now taking a break on how engaing the first half of the game is with your love interest, what about the other girls. Well I found out during my feew hours experiencing this Visual Novel that the backround story intertwines the other love interests in very well. And unlike other Visual Novels where the only characters are love interest with like one supporting role, this game has a plethora of supporting cast that i was intertained. it made the world outside of my relationship choices fell alive. You have your best Genki that is your characters bestfreind and is there for comic relief. Momo, my favorite supporting character other than the next one, is level headed, and is a nice break from Genki's over the top borderline autistic behaviors and yelling. Mahiro, my favorite supporting character, is like a puppet master when it comes to pushing the main character and the love interest forward (at least in the Rina playthrough of the game). Justice the "best" teacher anyone can ask for (JK). And even more i could go into. These characters, along with the various love interests, make3 up a world -- not just a story -- and revert the problem I have with most VN, BORING WORLDS.

A lot of VN usually stop after you "score" with the girl. This one does not (at least with the Rina Playthrough). Admittly the gameplay after confession is non-existant, but the story telling is the most beautiful I have ever got to have the pleasure of reading within this genre. All the dialouge for me felt like it was worth the various choices I made in the begining. And seeing how this game focuses on the relationship as a whole instead of the deed itself makes worth investing. It is unique for me.

i honestly would like to go on but I would just repeat the same things eventually, but this VN is the best on I have experienced personally. Never before have I said "I would like to replay this, see what is differnet." with this game I did. Watching the ending made me go on my feels, and how they then show the couple after highschool makes me wish I could follow them on their journey through life. But this is just my opinion on a VN that i enjoyed. the first part of it is objectively good, the second half of the story is subjective I know some people won't like it. But what I am trying to get across on this long review is GIVE IT A TRY!

This game is beautiful will be the first thing I will say. The pixel art style is usually done in a blocky way now a days, however this game seems smooth with the style. If you couldn't notice from the title this game can be extremely grindy, but you don't have to spend all your time grinding away trash mobs if you don't want to. The story is predictable, but has arcs in it that feel like it hasn't happen in any other game I have played recently. Updates do come out fairly regularly compared to other games, so if you want to play this game for a few hours, put it down, and then return a few months later that is a legit way to play. After hours in the game I still don't have all the cards you can get, nor all the trash mob items, crafting, quests, and fishes. There is just so much to do.

Another thing that makes this game so addicting and fun is the Arcade/ Arena mode. Where to progress you have to get better at the game. some people have over 60 hours in this mode alone, and still haven't got their town filled up, or have beaten the final floor's boss. Basically if you want to buy a game that makes you feel good about yourself when you play it, to see how far you can progress, i highly suggest this game. Another plus is that you can play with friends.

I really don't have anything negative to say about this game other than if you don't like to work for things and grind than this game isn't for you.
