This series is fantastic and more specifically this game is a masterpiece. It has an incredible world and is dripping with atmosphere, an incredible plot with great payoff with an enormous amount to theorise and dwell on, great story missions, a couple decent side quests and a HUGE amount of replayability with or without mods. To get a bit more specific on the story, it is exactly what I wanted from a game like this. Some of the characters are very interesting and have a wealth of backstory with great missions to give you and all culminate in a great mystery. Not to mention the AI is amazing and the progression is great and the world building is amazing. I CANT STOP I MUST STALK

Best post-apocalyptic shooter ever and it gets even better with one of two mods.
Xpress tuning remaster ultimate as a simple modification of the game that fixes bugs and makes it look better and is 100% faithful.
Then there's Gunslinger adaptation mod which overhauls the gunplay and adds thirst, hunger and psy mechanics. but keeps the story and levels 100% faithful making it a go to for a second playthrough.
This game is utterly fantastic

the gunslinger mod wont work, only the tuning remaster. maybe ill just try the gunslinger first

make sure you do both options with a completely fresh install after having loaded the game to the title screen once
and dont install both at the same time
