My dearest Opila

While our time together was short, your gaze from across the hall of Banban's kindergarten was the beautiful rain to my arid heart. I only yearned to feel your bosom pressed against my chest, our heartbeats intertwined. I pushed through the most challenging puzzle I have ever faced just to catch a glimpse of your beautiful beak once more. When you rode the trolley near me, your scent of gentle lilac was intoxicating. I was lost in my own reverie, just dreaming of our life together. I wished only to effleurer against your soft feathers, feeling your warmth.

Alas, tragedy struck. A mistake, one I will never recover from. The button. That damned button that I had pressed, wishing it to bring you to me, only flung you to the abyss below. Your scream rings throughout my heart even to this day. I shall never forget you as long as I live. Our life together shall never be, but I will see you in the afterlife, our embrace lasting a life time.
