I just stepped by to meet up with Gustavo Fring <3

Don't let the weak storyline discourage you from experiencing all the excitement and enjoyment that the game has to offer.

This Version is basically just a sequel to Far Cry 5 gameplay-wise. Compared to Far Cry 5, it is vastly superior in almost every way. Bladed takedowns are back and is more fluid overall compared to 5.
The story has more nuance beyond "Literally everyone from the most insane gun nut redneck to the most hippie latte-drinking city slicker happily joins forces against the evil cult everyone hates" by
actually having infighting among the rebels that you have to deal with.

Compared to Far Cry as a series, this is a step down. The story still doesn't come close to Far Cry 3 in terms of being interesting and compelling.
It still has too much of Far Cry 5's "cartoon bad guys who are just pure evil beyond belief they gun down civilians whenever they want and burn down churches and use
babies as soccer balls" without any sort of reasoning, resistance, or subtlety to it like previous Far Cry games.

The gameplay as well definitely feels like it was meant to patch up what went wrong with Far Cry 5 and not to actually build up what had been done in 3, 4, and Primal.
There's no skill tree to unlock things, and there's no options to do things like change your takedown weapon.

Also, as seems to be becoming a pain with Ubisoft, there's too many instances of cutscenes, exposition dumps, and follow-alongs where the NPC is talking nonstop the
entire way. The story isn't good enough to warrant all this endless cutscenes. The game is actually fun when you're allowed to play it like a proper Far Cry game,
but once it's boring story time, you're pulled away from the game and forced to sit through cutscenes that aren't even integrated in the game the way they were in
previous Far Cry games.

Overall playing the game is kinda fun, but whenever it's story time I just start daydreaming about how great Far Cry 3's storylines were written.
