Love the mystery surrounding the game, definitely go into this knowing nothing. Getting 100% didn't take long too and you get rewarded really well.

Trust me and play it on the 24fps setting.

“Send me out… with a bang”

I first played this game in VR on the PSVR back in 2017, part of me doesn't believe that I actually managed to beat it in VR because it really is a terrifying game. Resident Evil may have had a rough past (RE5, RE6), but RE7 is a sign that Resident Evil is back, and I'm now here for the ride.

I really enjoyed playing Revelations 2, it was nice to see Resident Evil go back to some roots. Horror was something that was lacking in Resident Evil 5 and 6, it was nice to see it make a strong return in Revelations 2.

I'd say Resident Evil 6 is a good action game but a bad Resident Evil game. I found it weird that the game is split into 4 different campaigns. I thought it was done pretty well in Revelations where it was chronological and you'd cut between the different characters between chapters. In 6, each campaign is you following the series of events from each characters perspective. I say it's a good action game because the controls are fluid and it really makes you feel like a badass, running around doing flips, sliding under enemies and blowing their brains out. It's a big contrast to what Resident Evil started out as.

Great game to play in the background

This was originally a 3DS game and it holds up really well on PC with the improved visuals etc. This also felt more like a RE game than RE5. It has a new way to tell a story, playing multiple characters in different locations and years. I was skeptical if this was going to work well, but afterwards thought the story was told pretty well. I feel RE6 should have been told through this format, instead of each character having it's own campaign in that game.

The game being set on a boat seems like the perfect location for an RE game and it sure is. Trapped on a boat with no escape really gives you this sense of isolation.

The DLC was better than the whole of the base game. It's as if the developers missed the classic style and put more effort into the DLC. I found the base game to be boring, with boring enemies and boring long bosses. I've heard that it's a much more fun experience if you play with a friend in coop and don't take it as serious. Atleast the story was interesting and the graphics hold up today.

Was skeptical at first as it's the first RE game with the different style of gameplay. However, I enjoyed it very much. It had a great mix between horror and action, so it was sad to see 5 and 6 go towards action more when 4 was a good example of where horror and action can work well together.

Also, don't buy the rocket launcher unless you want to speedrun the game.
