Early Access Review
Not many games where within 15 minutes, my buddy jumps down onto the ground only be immediately devoured by a sand worm on impact, leaving me in complete shock only about 5m away from where he once stood...

---INTRO---
  • TOTAL HOURS: 1,578.5
  • PREMIUM ACC: No, have done in the past for a ¬month at a time
  • PREMIUM VEHICLES: 17

If I was able to progress at a decent pace without constantly dying, then I would be more inclined to invest in the game (as I have done in the past).

I genuinely enjoy this fantastic game, however update after update has been reducing rewards, lengthening out the grind without any consequence. I feel this is unjust and more probing, than anything else, from Gaijin to see what they can get away with.

    ---UPDATES---
I also feel as though some updates come out of nowhere. For instance, the recent changes to guns in Air RB. Before, I used to actually be able to get at least one kill per game semi-consistently. After the update it feels like you run dry before you get a kill, and I'm actually having to RTB for ammo, which is not why I play WarThunder.

    ---MISLEADING MARKETING---
The marketing for this game is amazing showing off A-10s, SU-25s, F-16s and MiG-29s yet they hide the fact that in order to come close to these nowadays you must pay a hell of a lot of money. Yes, there isn't another game out there like WarThunder at all, but that should not be an excuse to make the playerbase pay profound amounts just to be able to progress in the game.

    ---FINAL THOUGHTS---
As much as I love this game, I simply won't be able to enjoy it if the rewards are decreased as it then starts to feel less and less like something you play for enjoyment, and more and more something you work on. Which would be more acceptable if this was rewarded in any way. Instead, you spend months grinding for a vehicle just to find out it's terrible OR it will cost you all of your SL to play it regularly. Very few vehicles seem to duck the radar of repair cost nerfs (or at least very few that I own, playing Britain mainly).

If you haven't already started playing this game, then I would not do so right now. Or at least I would not invest any money into WarThunder at this time. I was about to buy a premium subscription but due to the recent events, I will be holding off until I see any actual value in doing so.

I'd be happy to hear any thoughts, feedback, questions, debate this (within reason, I'm not autistic).

Very fun game. Can either be super chill satisfaction or a fight to the death.

This game is so underrated, in fact it's an experience. Be sure to play with friends.
