Played the old version years ago and loved it and this one is even better! The new territory marking and look is nice. Also they added more prey animals and baby-baby elk calves that hide in the grass (also fawns). So many more dens and you now have options for the rendezvous site. Plus I don't have to worry about the stupid eagles taking my pups now since I only use wooded dens. More predators and grizzly bear cubs too. Foxes and cougars. Also your pups can get sick now too which sucks (I just lost one to illness). Your mate acts much more independent too and has their own personality which directs how they will act. It's great, plus so many emotes!
Overall it's the same feel as the original but much more dynamic and expanded, it's just done so much better! I cannot express how much I love this, it's in my top 10 of best games ever consistently, even when I get tired of other games for a little bit I never do with this one.
Just, if you like the idea of being a wolf this is the game for you and it's well worth the money.

Intuitive & simple to understand. Cute visuals and I love all the different colours and just watching the cars drive along. It does have a colourblind mode too which I haven't used but is a nice touch.
One of my new favourite games, also I like comparing my score to others, so far I'm pretty awful but it's neat to see the bar graph showing how many people got what score.

Well and truly worth the money. I bought it on sale because I wasn't entirely sure about it but now that I've actually played it a bit I would have been happy to buy it not on sale. I'm enjoying planning out everything and coming up with strategies for the different islands, it's my favourite game at the moment. It can also be played without thinking and planning so much, I just like playing it that way more.
I really like the genetics part of it and how you have to have a good variety of immunity genes too and the ability to add mutations that can be passed on. I like finding out for myself which genes are dominant over others too rather than just looking it up. Plus sandbox mode starting with random genes is fun since I can start with random stuff then work towards evolving specific traits and it's always different when I start with random genes.

I love this game. Survival games are my favourite type of games. I really like how you can change weakness traits to strength traits and how strength traits can become weaknesses. Even when you've gotten comfortable and aren't struggling to survive anymore there are still lots of things you can do like craft everything, completely max out the stats of the characters, change their weaknesses to strengths and find all the pieces for the van.
Plus hard mode is actually hard and it's a great challenge and you really have to manage your resources to survive for long. I love the resource management.
Only problem is I currently have a bug that's making it so I can't really progress but they usually respond quickly when a problem is reported so I'm sure it'll be sorted out soon enough.
Pretty much if you like survival games with emphasise on resource management then you will love this game and I 100% recommend it for you. It was well worth it's money.
