Started playing because a friend recommended it. Kept playing because the devs are awesome. Kept playing after Sony tried to kill it because of the community. Now, that doesn't mean it's problem free. At the time of writing, it's filled with bugs; not just the kind you can blow up. The devs seem very involved w/ the community though, and so long as they stay on that track, this game has amazing potential.

Less steep learning curve than other games, fun gameplay, but very grindy in survival.

KSP is an amazing game. You can learn a lot from the game. Plus, you don't need to worry if you mess up; it's literally rocket science. This game also give some of the most amazing views a game can offer. From the mountains of Kerbin to the seas of Eve. The physics and aerodynamics are more realistic than what most games simulate, but not perfectly. (But that can be helped with mods!) Though the physics and aerodynamic models may not be perfect, you still need to know what you're doing. Get over your ego and do the tutorials. The tutorials can be very helpful. I highly recommend doing them.
