Great game so far. Really hope that the developers can continue to work it into a finished product. As of now I believe it's worth buying (though the price is a little high for an unfinished game). I have enjoyed hundreds of hours in the live version and look forward to testing out the betas as they are available.

It's an excellent Simulation. Large scale battles present fps issues., The UI sucks. BUT.. it's still an awesome game. Not many out there that are single player with this much content and sandbox options.

Both of these games are classic examples of the Final Fantasy series famous story telling. Much like each adventure (until 12 and beyond, we don't speak of those abominations), X and X-2 deliver us amazing worlds with a rich story that keeps you wanting to learn more and more. The graphics were top of the line for their time and are still pleasing to look at. Most importantly, the battle mechanics are fun and characters are easy to customize and progress. No over-complicated systems or rules to learn, players unfamiliar with Final Fantasy will enjoy these as their introduction. I only recommend FF7 higher, as that is what I believe to be the best of the FF series.
