Lots of people getting very tilted over a 2 dollar game not being on the same level as its triple a inspirations. Just under 2 hours of solid boomer shooter throwback fun, very much worth it imo. If you like boomer shooters, it's a cheap thrill with vintage charm. Recommend

Played it when it came out in 2018 on PS4, got a two shot explosive double barrel and steamrolled the game. Bought it again on PC and it's the same old fun that I have fond memories of. Behind the ugly visage of bugs, glitches, and a rough multiplayer is a decent fallout game with some cool new guns, lore, and enemies. I like it, after about 300 hours I've pretty much done everything you can. If you like fallout and want some new lore and a new story, it's worth picking up when it inevitably goes on sale.

I switched to a PA w/ heavy guns build and my camp is full of the trophy heads of all the things I've killed. It's got charm and you'll have enough time to get a feel for whether you like it or not to refund it if you don't.

Don't buy it at full price, Bethesda doesn't deserve it. Worth picking up for diehard fans but lacking as an mmo

Early Access Review
One of the more unique indie games you could pick up. Fun, oozing atmosphere, plenty of variety, and a damn good aesthetic. If you're thinking about it and like the detective genre, go for it. A bit of Pincheon, garnished with Doyle, plus a pinch of Grafton. Very good game imo

I'd never played a Fromsoft game before this one. I never believed myself capable of beating a soulsbourne game, and yet I beat this one. Fromsoft gamer or not, this title is absolutely worth buying. Thanks to the character creation, anyone can mold the game to their playstyle .Every boss you beat fills you with an unparalleled euphoria and triumph that I just don't get from other games.

Even if you're on the fence, go for it. So long as you possess the willpower to persevere and learn from failure, you will not regret it.

Special thanks to mimic tear ash for enabling easy mode

Edit: 300 hours later and it truly never gets old. It's a great game, guaranteed to get your money's worth, and a truly unforgettable experience

Every expectation for this game was sky-high. A devout community enamored by a series for decades was eagerly awaiting a sequel to the title that saved the DOOM series. Not only was DOOM(2016) my first game in the series, I assumed it simply wasn't possible to make a better game, or attempt to without inadvertently putting out a redundant re-hash. The original DOOM games actually created the FPS genre, originally known as 'DOOM Clones'; as such, they carry great significance to the community, the genre, and the industry itself. DOOM Eternal is a masterpiece, having perfected every facet that garnered critical acclaim. The combat is more brutal with lethal speed and even gorier glory kills. Old demons have been overhauled and re-skinned, reminiscent of the original sprite enemies from the nineties; new demons have been added with interesting design, mechanics, and lore. Exploration of the new, longer levels offers more variety of collectibles and secrets, new cut scenes not only look awesome, but make the slayer even more badass; finally the story is incredibly entertaining and worthwhile. Extensive customization allows for multiple slayer looks which add to the experience. The multiplayer leaves a little to be desired due to balancing issues, but I've never played the games for them. All of these aspects combine to make a violent roller coaster that, like a real thrill ride, feels like it's over too soon. DOOM Eternal is the perfect incarnation of DOOM: violent, lightning-fast, enthralling, and a lot of entrails flying everywhere. It is essential to everyone except pacifists to play this game and blow off steam (and heads).

I've played a good bit, and let me say that I love this game. I watched several reviews back when it came out, and the general consensus was that this was a terrible game. I decided to give it a try after getting a MMORPG kick, so I got the game. I played 87 hours in the first week that I owned it.
Let me start by mentioning what is probably my favorite thing about this game: There are so many ways to customize and create your own unique character and roleplay, it is amazing. The progression feels fine and the level rewards, especially the bigger ones that you get every 5 levels, are a really good incentive to keep playing. I'm incredibly late to the party on this game, but there are still plenty of low level people for you to befriend and interact with.
I'm playing this game solo, as none of my friends really want to play this game. I also like playing solo for various reasons, but who cares. If you don't have anybody to play with and want a group, it is extremely easy and simple to do so. There are plenty of group and activity finders that will allow anyone to find a group to frequent this game with. The story is interesting enough, and the side quests are actually pretty fun sometimes. You can actually have an effect on the world by doing quests to save and destroy certain places and groups. There are plenty of weapons and interesting skills for each of them, and plenty different types of weapons. You can really make your character stand out with the amount of options you have for appearance. Sometimes the map makes things hard to understand, and navigation can sometimes be a bit vague with the quest markers, but you can always look up where to go next if you're stuck. I'm a decent ways in, and there is still so much more to the game that I can't wait to discover.
You will DEFINITELY get your money's worth with this one. There are HUNDREDS of hours of content, just on your first character. You can add so many more hours by creating new characters and taking different sides and approaches to the story and side quests. Pets are cool, and the cosmetics also add a nice touch to your character. There are several activities to master and crafts to perfect. The crafting is also well made because there is incentive; You can make better armor than you can buy if you spend enough time with blacksmith and you can make amazing potions that are far better than crown potions (ones that can be purchased). At the beginning of the game it is very overwhelming just because of the sheer volume of content to experience, so just start simple. This game truly will make you feel like a badass as you level and become more powerful. This feels like a slightly more realistic Skyrim in the way that you aren't immediately kicking ass and destroying everyone, but you will accomplish feats of combat and bravery that NPCs will take notice to. I don't want to give away too much more than this because of how much better this game is when you dive in clueless, so you really should buy the game IF you want it. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 because they never gave up on this game even after the terrible launch.
