[UPDATED as of 02/08/2024]

I initially voted down for this game as of the glitch below. However, frontier were quick in patching it along with some other known glitches. I am able to play and learn the ways of the game thankfully!

-------------------------------------------------------

This is my first ever F1 Manager game and I have been happy with my purchase. The reason for the down vote is because of a glitch when you go to counter offer you never receive anything back and its utterly annoying because I've started trying to negotiate contracts and they just keep saying I need to respond, but there is literally no option other than to let it run out then try again. But for me as a beginner, I'm just stuck in a constant loop.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon!

After all the hours I have amassed on this game I'll list some of the pros and cons I have endured throughout my hours on this game and why I wouldn't recommend this game to someone who is looking to buy it, even if it goes on sale.

Pros

- Best football game available

- It can be fun to grind and you can build a solid team easily for free (ultimate team)

- It has co-op modes that you can play with friends

Cons

- The main focus of FC24 and the years following will be only Ultimate Team, this is because it brings in a ton of money from P2W players, as well as youtubers and streamers. They will always say they have made changes to the modes (Pro Clubs and Career Mode) but it always ends up being exactly the same as the previous years.

- The amount of bugs and glitches within this game is disgusting. I have a decent PC that works great on every other game but whenever I load this game its a whole different story. It is kind of weird as some days its very smooth and the menus are fast and great but like today (JUNE) I've been on for 30 minutes just having a look at my team etc and I have had to restart it 2 times already because the game glitches and crashes on random screens for example when I went to search for a player it brought the overlay of teams up but still had me selected on the background screen but I couldn't click to go back or anything, it just gets annoying even for the amount of money this company makes and they still can't produce a decently optimised game.

-The servers are also a massive joke. I have decent internet for where I come from and for some reason I'll have great connection one weekend then the following weekend I'll just get a constant red bar at the top of my screen. Again I'll mention for the amount of money the company makes I don't understand how it isn't possible to fix these issues for the average player. It has nothing to do with my connection as it works flawlessly on other games and only happens on every Fifa that I have played to date.

- DDA (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment, or Scripting..) FC24 is heavily known for this and if you start beating someone in a game there will be adjustments made to give the opponent an upperhand to get back into the game, and your players will start to feel like bronzes. It's not only when you are losing though, it can just be a normal start to a game and your players may go from being insane in one game to not being able to make a pass in the following game. It gets insanely frustrating sometimes.

- It's currently the best football game and the "FIFA" franchise has been great for many years but only because it has no competitors, I'm hoping that the new "FIFA" which is being created by 2K will focus heavily on the places where FC24 lacks, for example: Pro Clubs and Career Mode. If 2K are able to primarily focus on these instead of instantly gunning to compete with FC24 in a P2W battle I think it will be beneficial to them with a lot of current FC24 players migrating over to it.

- P2W (Pay To Win). As I've mentioned above P2W is heavily in this game and has been from the start and this is one of the first FIFA's I've played where there has been a promo literally every week which allows FC24 to money grab as they release packs worth around the £40 mark, nearly as much as the game itself which is ludicrous, but people still pay it to get the advantage over other players. People will always complain about FC24 but yet they still fill the game developers pockets by buying these packs regularly. This has also been a massive issue this year as from the amount of promos being put out constantly, it has led to the market crashing and cards that would have been insane in other fifas have literally been discard in this fifa, and then for the average player its harder to make coins as you never really pack an insane player unless its untradable and that never really seems to happen either.

- Evolutions. These would have been a great idea if they had gave more freedom with the Evos in Ultimate Team. They always put restrictions on evos so the cards you would've wanted to upgrade essentially never fit into them and there was only ever a specific batch. They definitely missed the mark with this new addition in this "Fifa" as for some reason they haven't let you upgrade certain cards and I've personally still got some from October-December that still haven't fit into any evos even now when it's JUNE.

Conclusion

Whatever you do, don't pre order the next FC game until the new FIFA by 2K has been revealed as it will be nice to see some sort of competition. I know people are going to say PES but for me its a way different game to what the FIFA franchise has always been. (The poor mans fifa in my eyes). I just hope 2K pulls some good stuff out of the bag so that it may wake FC up and make them actually want to give the players what they want (Better stuff brought to Pro Clubs and Career). I want to also say I can't believe over the years they've brought out a story mode (The journey) and VOLTA which I don't think anyone ever plays and if they do they are demented. It annoys me they put money into these side projects instead of looking into areas of the modes everyone has asked changes for. I know I've gone off on a slight tangent but i'll reiterate it again, whatever you do don't be influenced into buying this game and just save your money into using it somewhere else, where its needed!

Don't buy this game, wanted a nice throwback.. all I got was crashing when entering the actual game. I have solid up to date specs so not sure what the issue is. Can't even replay my childhood 0/10 (I've found that turning my wifi off before loading this game up fixes this)

Very addicting game, There's a lot to do other than the main story. Feels to me a bit like Assassins Creed, as to why I probably like it as I don't really play zombie games.

Solid poker game to learn and adapt the basics whilst maintaining the arcade(y) style. Also presents a challenge when joining the higher stake tables.

This game is beneficial for concepts of base designs that you want to try out. It's like the preliminary stage to mess around on and gather an understanding whether a base would work. It also has some nice features like showing you how many explosives it would take to get to the core. Overall a very nice external game to build a base design on without having to load rust up.
