It's kinda funny that the end goal is to get the axe when the gauntlets that you start with are cooler and more fun to use.

Tough as nails metroidvania with amazing characters, story, artstyle and music. You owe yourself to play this masterpiece if you enjoy the genre.

After the changes I can safely say that this DLC is very much worth the money. The useless items were buffed or reworked to be strong and unique, the new characters feel good to play and right at home with the rest of the cast and the final boss has been changed to be more fun and interesting to fight against. There was even an effort to add achievements to the new content, which doesn't sound like a big deal but shows that the new team cares and has passion for this game. I can only hope that the next DLC will be at this level of polish on release.
