Its a good little precision plataformer, where you character constantly runs and you only use one button, for jumping.
I will say that the difficulty spike in the last two levels was astronomical, especially considering the last one introduces a completely new movement mechanic, and tasks you with beating the equivalent of 3 levels back to back without dying once, twice!
Its very cheap though, and worth the price, so i recommend it :D

If someone had told me this game released this year, i would have believed them. Its SO good and way ahead of its time
Still cannot believe this game is from 1997
Learnt of this game because of petscop and deltarune, and you can def see where they took their inspirations from! I would say its a hidden gem but that almost feels like an understatement, its a really good game :)

Its a very polished game, but unfortunately I cant recommend it for the current price point and lack of content

If you played the demo, that's pretty much the whole game. There are ~10 power-ups and ~15 abilities, all of which you will have seen by your third run. You will end up with a very similar build every run due to this, you would need to actively go out of your way to make sure you don't get repeats.

I unlocked all the swords within an hour of playing (and 100%'d in 100 minutes), and most of them don't affect game-play that drastically (one extra heart, or +5 damage for example). I could find that much use for their abilities, even the ones that seemed really useful i ended up beating the round before even remembering they exist. Some of them, like the bomb sword, actively encourages you to NOT use the ability due to it damaging you for very little payoff.

A polished, albeit very shallow, game.

This is game that sat in my backlog unfinished for waaay too long, i played the first chapter and temporarily dropped it due to other things, but i am so glad i went back and finished it!

The combat took a bit getting used to, but after you learn that parrying is key and not to focus too much on the groovy critical hits it becomes way more fun.

I would say that it gets better as the game progresses (i guess due to the secrets being revealed?), with the highlight being the ending, but it is quite fun throughout! I thought this game would have a "twist ending" since the start considering it also had a kind of "twist beginning", but it was so much more than i expected, i loved it!

Highly recommend if you enjoy games such as deltarune and iconoclasts!

Jumping straight up do not work most times. THE main thing the game advertises itself as, the pogo stick, only allows you to jump around 30% of the time
Its not a cooldown thing, not a minimum speed thing, not a maximum speed thing, not an charge thing, i have no idea why i just cant jump most times. Be it a small or a big jump, most times you will just run off the edge of the plataform.

I will give it that everything else is good, shooting is a cool mechanic since you cant jump during it, the music is great and the other inputs work fine. The UI is a bit unpolished but thats not that big an issue.

Was expecting an automation/idler game with a bit of strategy
Nope, it was just a "click on the van, click on the least expensive store, click on the destination" ad infinitum. Thats repetitive enough without even considering you have to buy each material one by one in each of the stores (and the vans dont automatically pick up resources when in the same city).
It looks like it could have had some automations, with the so called "automation centre", but i could not get it to actually do anything. Ive bought resouces in the same city as the centre, dropped resouces in the same city, waited when there was a quest on the same city, but nothing made that blue van budge.
The planes and boats can be used to get materials from further away, but you still need to click on them every single time just like the vans, which makes them useless as they require so much more money for the same exact speed
On top of that, the prices never goes down. I've "bought out" stores (meaning the price to buy is above the 250 per material you receive when completing the contract) to the point that the only store remaining that managed to not put me into more debt was so far away that i bankrupted from maintenance costs before the van got back to the city it needed to.

There are better automation games games out there, especially considering you cant even automate this one

A cute little RTS game, and playtime is around an hour
I feel like the character moves a bit too slow, but most of it is fun

The kind of game i wished it would be! It's ENA and it's executed to perfection <3
Its hard to pick a favourite part but dang, the voice acting is so good and especially the amount of languages in there! I saw a jan Tepo in the credits and am now going to search the entire game for the character that speaks toki pona, im so excited!
Amazing game 11/10

I really, really hoped this game to be the raising sim i was craving after playing exocolonist, but this game suffers from a "death by 1000 cuts"
Unfortunately, this game's English translation is just... not good, to put it lightly. Issues like text overlapping and going off screen were common too. This is by far my biggest issue with the game.
The 'tutorials' also assume you know how a lot of how the systems work, and i would guess this is meant to be a wiki game (?) from how often the game just said "you can do this if you want" and didn't elaborate on how this system would affect the game. This is the second big issue with the game, though its not so bad compared to the first.
On top of that, there are a lot of tiny little issues or non polished parts (that, by themselves, would not have warranted anywhere near a 'not recommended') kept popping up, and those little bumps add up fast to how the experience in general flows.

Maybe if it got some better translations and introduced the concepts slightly slower, i could recommend it, but currently i would say only buy this game if you are already 100% comfortable with raising sims (and their systems) and are able to excuse the awkward word choices
