Pretty simple and chill shop tycoon experience.


PROS

- Simple to learn, but has enough depth to it to stop you getting bored easily.

- Nice peaceful soundtrack, kind of like some of the older sims games.

- Graphics are fairly basic, but suit the game well.

- Random events throw a spanner into the works and some can force you to adapt in many ways. Like Wars for example makes things like iron and bread very expensive, which can be a good or bad thing for you. If you have a big stockpile of say iron, you'll make massive profits from iron being in very high demand, but if you don't have a lot you'll have to be careful with your money and perhaps sell something other then iron and iron tools to help supplement your income.

- Seasons: These kind of work like events, but last for much longer and affect prices of certain goods.


CONS


Game might feel a bit repetitive after playing for a while, but results may vary per person.

So it's even worse now, apparently the game is owned by the Earth 2 scammer company. Stay far away from this game and anything made/owned by the Earth 2 company, they're are well known scammers.

Pretty fun and unique tycoon game.

GM plays almost exactly like Rimworld, but with less content (for now). GM has similar menus and general gameplay to Rimworld, so Rimworld players will feel quite at home, but GM has quite a few differences. For example there's Z-levels, which means you can make multistory buildings, have hills and mountains etc. The other main difference is this game is set in an alternate history medieval England.

Now is it worth playing? Yes, absolutely. Even in its current state the average player will get at least 25 to 30 hours (probably even more) of gameplay before they start getting a bit bored with the game in its current early state. But not to fear there's a road map chocka-block full of new content that's to be added.

This is a very good Game Tycoon, it has lots of variety in what you can do. For example you can make regular games, MMOs, F2P games, Arcade machine games, DLCs etc. There's even Console Development, which lets you make your own console. Apart from making games, you also have to build your office(s), manage staff and upgrade your engine and tech.

The sole developer also works pretty fast on new content and does plenty of hotfixes/improvements between major updates. He also takes suggestions from the community, which is nice.

So yeah I definitely recommend this if you're into Game Tycoon type games, it's one of the best in the genre and still being worked on.

This is the best Battle Simulator type game there is. 10/10.

It's pretty good. Kind of like A Roguelike Borderlands. There's plenty of variety in weapons and builds, although it only has 3 levels to progress through, so it could use a couple more of those.

PROS:

- Big maps, lots of maps.

- Many weapons

- Unique factions

- No Microtransactions (well there's is a soundtrack thing you can buy, but that has no affect on the actual game)

- Guns feel good and meaty, although the recoil felt a bit exaggerated on some of them.


NEUTRALS:

- Ok graphics, but the AA implementation is abysmal and game looks pretty blurry.


CONS:

- Horrible/Toxic community

- Blurry graphics, hard to see enemies due to this, thus making the game pretty unplayable.

- Buggy

- You're not a soldier, but a morbidly obese man that can barely move. AKA you move really slow.

- Unrealistic, despite advertising to be a realistic war sim game. Like to heal someone you just have to hold a bandage in the air in front of someone who took a tank shell to the face. Everyone moving like a cripple is also unrealistic, sure don't have people running around like usain bolt, but don't have them move like they have 2 broken legs either.

- Cheaters, multiple servers had these people that would shoot 1km across the map from their spawn with pin-point accuracy, aimbotting no doubt.

- Certain maps seem to have terrain and spawns that favours one team or the other.

- It's a pain to get anywhere because you move so slow.

- Price is too much for the quality of the game


Verdict: 4/10. Pretty Overpriced and ruined by many bad game design choices and a toxic community. Such a shame since the concept seems kind of like Battlefield 4 on paper, but is poorly implemented.

Pros:

- Pretty fun game when played solo (although it's hard solo), but is great when played with at least 1 friend.

- The game is also mostly bug-free, which is surprising for an Early-Access title.

- Lots of content and things to do in its current form.

- Interesting art-style, many of the textures kind of look like Minecraft (pixel based) textures, but it's done in a way that it suits the game. There's also really great looking weather, really like the look and feel of the thunderstorms.

- Sound design is top notch.

-Combat is fun, it's kind of like a Darksouls-ish type system. All the weapons feel different, like the Axe is both a tool for chopping wood, but also makes a great slashing weapon. The spear is both a melee weapon that deals pierce damage and a throw-able range weapon that can be picked back up after throwing. There's more examples of weapons behaving different, but i won't spoil them, you'll have to find those out for yourself.


Neutrals:

- Game seems entirely balanced around groups, which is okay, but it'd be good if crafting requirements and such were lowered a bit for solo play (maybe have customizable settings that affect crafting costs, carrying capacity and drop amounts etc.), since grinding out resources to craft things will obviously take longer solo. You also are much weaker as a solo player in combat, but it does seem doable, at least in the earlier parts of the game. Killing enemies like Trolls is quite the challenge without a buddy to help you.


Cons:

- The game is un-optimized and will run really heavily even on beefy systems, this will probably change as the Early-Access progresses, but be warned that weaker PCs might have trouble running the game well.

- Devs are really slow to update the game.



VERDICT: 7/10, Really good in its current state and i look forward to upcoming updates.

6 Months on: Added another negative. Devs are really, really slow at updating the game. The game still hasn't got a single content update since launch and it has been out for like 6 months. Therefore i'm dropping the original score from a 8 to a 7 for laziness on the devs part.

This game is probably one of the best "Park Builder Tycoon" type games that i have ever played, very easy to learn and you can make some pretty cool structures and rides.

The economic systems are also quite interesting, like if it's raining most guests won't want to go on rides that don't have roofing (which you can add yourself in many cases) and if there's a thunder storm then many of the tall rides won't function at all, because of safety reasons. So it's good to have a mix of outdoor rides and indoor ones.

Coaster and track building is pretty fleshed out and you can make some pretty nice rides, there's also go-kart tracks you can design and other tracked things that are not coasters.

Lastly there's a large selection of different place and forget type rides that only require a queue and entry/exit, like the Bumper cars or haunted house for example (you can customize these types of buildings with the various props and other decorations though). There's also many different types of shops, like burger vendors, drink vendors, map sellers, umbrella sellers etc. You can set the prices for all of these things.

RATINGS:

GRAPHICS: 8/10 (not amazing or groundbreaking, but not bad for a game of this genre)
SOUND: 8/10 (What you'd expect of theme park simulator/builder)
GAMEPLAY: 10/10 (Excellent, no real faults AFAIK)
STORY: N/A (their is a campaign, but there's not much story, like you basically just try to meet certain goals on each map)
PERFORMANCE: 8/10 (pretty good, but needs work in some areas, like using the ride graph menu on Go-Karts for example lags the game sometimes, overall optimization seems good though)

OVERALL RATING: 9/10 (almost perfect, but could use some refining with performance)
