GM has similar menus and general gameplay to Rimworld, so Rimworld players will feel quite at home, but GM has quite a few differences. Now is it worth playing? Yes, absolutely. Even in its current state the average player will get at least 25 to 30 hours (probably even more) of gameplay before they start getting a bit bored with the game in its current early state.
