Has potential to be a really good game. Still in the development stage at the moment, but looking good now. Lots of great new features added recently.

The game engine is impressive and already pretty solid with fairy decent visuals, effects and immersive sounds, water effects, atmosphere, physics, weather system and lighting. The models and textures look good. Some animations are still a little bit unnatural - but it's improving all the time. Music is excellent and survival gameplay is a lot more balanced now with some exciting areas to explore.

This game does manage to produce a fear-effect quite well, especially when entering the open waters with sharks. The scale of the game map is pretty small but the details are good with more variety having been added. It looks good visually and is starting to feel alive now. The storms look/feel really good, day and night and weather cycles well and survival feels fairly realistic.

Frustrating that the game forces you to hunt and eat animals for health - trying to eat plants and coconuts is rewarded with poisoned sickness - which is not in keeping with real-life survival and prep scenarios. It would be good to allow carnivorous or herbivorous choices and maybe have temples/caves/underground/underwater areas to explore.

Really exciting scope for this game in the future - development seems to be moving along well and the existing experience is good for dipping in for some great casual gaming. Looking forward to future releases!

I recommend this game.

Looks like it may be OK but I have no idea how to use it to make my own game (which is why I bought it).

Interface is usable but a bit clunky - the main issue is there are no tutorials.
Simple enough to use the few sprites and tiles that come with the game but how do you add your own?

Trying to import any image just says "Wrong Size".
It would be hand to know what size they're meant to be.
A basic guide would be great. Seems easy enough to paint your own sprites.

Another downside is that there are no game collectables (no keys or items to collect) and no projectiles (guns or bullets). This limits your game to just jumping around, dodging hazards. No scope for puzzles or action.

This said, it does have potential but it's just not easy to use out of the box. Not really what I hoped it would be.

I would say, if I spend some time with it, I may be able to build a working game, but I the simplicity is too limiting and not intuitive enough to use.

As it stands, I could use "snap" instead, for free and with much more versatility. I'll stick with it, I'm sure once I know what size the sprites are meant to be, I can start designing the graphics for my game and I'll come back to change my review.
